Working in the world of health and wellness is a major part of who we are as an industrial design studio, whether it’s fitness tech or healthcare. That’s why we worked with @roman to design the sustainable healthcare packaging for Roman.

We worked with Roman to create a simple yet effective pouch design that works as a vessel for Ro to ship any of their prescription types. As with Roman’s original packaging, subtlety and discretion were key factors in designing an on-going experience. Designed with scalability in mind, the pouch design acts as a canvas for future Ro Healthcare brands.

For this project, we worked on the industrial design for the product, prototyping, product development, and production. By being involved with every step, we worked with Ro to create the perfect design to fit their needs. by @leadoffstudio

We worked with @dameproducts to design their Kip vibe.

The Kip is designed to fit comfortably in the hand like a lipstick bullet, with ergonomic curves and rounded edges that allow for more control and maximum pleasure.

The design detail that solves the whole problem.

A postal worker doesn't gently place mail into a mailbox — they toss it in and move to the next one. So the sensor had to work with that motion, not against it.

The angles and grooves on top are shaped so any type of mail — a postcard, a bill, a bulky envelope — falls flat onto the sensor when it lands. No adjustment, no thinking, no missed reads.

Industrial design that respects how the world actually works.

"USPS Mailbox Sensor — designed by @LeadoffStudio.

@USPS came to the table with MRM//McCANN's product innovation lab and one question could you streamline how people know their mail has arrived?

We led the industrial design a modern product aesthetic that would fit inside most free-standing mailboxes across the US. The angles and grooves on top were designed so any type of mail falls flat onto the sensor when the postal worker tosses it in.

Working models built alongside electrical engineers and model makers, ready to run at CES.

Designing for supplements means designing for regulations.

@EightSleep’s Jet Lag is clinically-backed, so it was crucial for the packaging design to prioritize clarity, compliance, and user guidance. Given the product’s science-driven formulation, we designed a packaging architecture that features easy to read dosage and usage instructions supporting regulatory standards while reinforcing clinical credibility.

To enhance functionality and scalability, we incorporated modular design elements that create flexibility as new skus are added.

Design that has to work in an environment most of us will never see.

The @ApprenticeIO Tandem Hub lives inside pharmaceutical cleanrooms where the labs producing cancer treatments and vaccines run 24/7 and every surface, every material, every screw has been chosen to survive the chemical baths that keep those rooms sterile.

A kiosk you'll never notice, in a room that decides how well modern medicine actually gets made.

Designing for a pharmaceutical cleanroom means designing for the chemical bath that cleans it.

The Apprentice Tandem Hub is regularly power-washed with cleanroom-grade chemicals, which means every design decision had to hold up. Graphics are laser-etched into the backside of the acrylic to keep the front smooth and wipeable. Every material was pre-approved for cleanroom use. Polished screws and metal parts sit against a matte stainless steel backplate, drawing the eye to what matters.

The overall industrial design fits in the cleanroom the details help it stand out.

Apprentice Tandem Hub, designed by Leadoff Studio.

A kiosk built to live inside a pharmaceutical cleanroom the kind of environment producing COVID-19 vaccines and cancer treatments. It holds four A/R headsets pre-loaded with Apprentice's Tandem software, so any lab employee can approach, log in, and be automatically linked to a headset.

The headsets are held out on an angled shelf, presenting themselves to lab workers with an outstretched arm. Design that reduces friction between a worker and the tools they need to do their job.
