Finally, the second video I've been working on from the @whoop shoot I did last year for @fabric.social is complete! I edited this video of #DavidClifford to compliment the one of @amyoconnor21 because I see them as a duology.

As I was only brought on to film for this project, it was really nice getting to take my time with the post production and create these two spec ads that I am super proud of! I hope to create more projects like this in the coming year, so if you are looking to create something like this (or any of the previous videos of mine that you've seen), please don't hesitate to get in touch.

A little personal project this time round!

I recently visited some friends in Barbados and wanted to capture some footage in and around water but using my A7S3 rather than the likes of a GoPro! An A7S3 is not waterproof by any means, so I got the DicaPac WP-S10 waterproof housing - a pretty inexpensive option (waterproof housing can be pricey 😬)! And honestly, I couldn't be happier with the footage we captured. I'll definitely be doing a YouTube video soon going over the DicaPac and my thoughts on it, so keep your eyes peeled for that!

My incredible friend @annabarbados kindly and patiently put up with me while we filmed this as the sun went down! 😅

“What struck me first about Between Words is that the story doesn’t live in the dialogue. It lives underneath it. Daniel understands every word around him and still can’t reach for the one he wants, and that gap is the whole film. It’s the kind of storytelling I’m drawn to as a cinematographer, where the camera has to carry what the character can’t say out loud.

Cork as a city that keeps moving while Daniel stands slightly outside its rhythm. Then the cliffs, where the frame finally opens up and gives him somewhere to breathe.

There’s a real honesty in Rick’s writing, and a lot of quiet humour in it too.” by @leah_on_set
