Sometimes life has a funny way of forcing you to see a decision you didn’t even realize you needed to make.

When you want a lot from yourself, it’s easy to convince yourself that you can chase everything at once. More goals. More opportunities. More things to prove. Why choose when you’re capable of doing it all?

Then something happens that suddenly puts a deadline on the decision.

And you’re forced to ask yourself: What do I actually want most?

Not what would be cool to accomplish.
Not what I’m capable of doing.
Not what I don’t want to miss out on.

What matters most?

Recently, something forced me to answer that question. And once I did, I realized that choosing one direction doesn’t mean giving up on everything else. Sometimes it just means giving your biggest goals the respect they deserve.

The funny part?

Almost immediately after I made peace with that decision, the thing that forced me to make it… disappeared.

At first I thought, “Well, shit. I didn’t need to choose after all.”

But maybe I did.

Maybe that situation showed up for exactly as long as I needed it to. Not to take something away from me, but to force me to get clear on what I really want.

Sometimes the obstacle isn’t there to stop you.

Sometimes it’s there to make you choose.

And once you know what matters most, you don’t need the obstacle anymore.

I went to Popeye’s today, and it made me take a moment to realize how grateful I am to have them as part of my journey.

As an athlete, being able to count on companies that believe in us and choose to support us makes a real difference. It allows us to continue progressing, pursue our goals, and fully commit ourselves to our sport.

I’m especially proud to partner with a Québec-based company. The fact that local businesses get involved with athletes in their community is incredibly meaningful and can have a real impact on their journey.

So today is simply a little moment of appreciation.

Thank you to Popeye’s Québec for your continued trust and commitment. I’m very proud to have you in my corner. 🤝⚜️

Sometimes, reaching your next level isn’t about working harder. It’s about finding the right environment to grow in.

You may not have control over every circumstance in your life, but you have more influence over the environment you cultivate than you realize.

Every habit you reinforce, every boundary you establish, and every person you surround yourself with contributes to who you become.

After 14 years in powerlifting, I’ve come to appreciate just how much this matters.

For years, I trained mostly on my own. I worked hard, made progress, but never really questioned how much more I could get out of myself by changing my surroundings.

That changed when I found an environment I genuinely love being part of, surrounded by people who share my passion, challenge my standards, and want to see each other succeed. Having the right coach in my corner made that difference even greater.

My performance has improved, my standards are higher, and I’m enjoying powerlifting more than I have in a long time.

And it’s taught me something that goes far beyond the gym.

The environments we cultivate, the people we surround ourselves with, and what we choose to nurture all influence our growth.

This isn’t about blame. It’s about awareness, accountability, and recognizing our power to create positive change.

If you’re serious about progressing in powerlifting, find a powerlifting gym that challenges and inspires you. And if you want to go further, find a coach who understands you and knows how to bring out your best.

You can make progress on your own. But the right environment can help you discover potential you didn’t even know you had.

Be intentional about what you cultivate. The right environment doesn’t just support your growth. It can change what’s possible for you. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

This was my dream. 🇨🇦 I got there by showing up, even on the days nothing felt like it was moving.

That’s the part people don’t see. It’s not talent or luck. It’s a plan, a coach, consistency, and doing the work long enough for it to pay off.

That applies to every goal. Your first pull-up, your first competition, dropping weight, getting back into shape after years away, or something you haven’t even said out loud yet. The goal changes. The process doesn’t.

I coach both online and in person at @montrealpowerhouse 💥Powerlifter or not, if you’re serious about what you want, I’ll help you get there.

This was my dream. Now let’s chase yours. 💪

DM me to get started.

Meet day is the big day. But it’s never where the result is made.

Every lifter knows the feeling: you walk onto the platform and hit numbers you’ve never touched in training. Same body, same bar, but a different version of you shows up. For years I thought that version only existed under meet-day pressure.

Now I bring it out every single morning.

Before my phone, before my inbox, before anything else, I sit with my coffee for 10 minutes and visualize. The walkout. The chalk on my hands. The “Squat” command. The bar moving exactly how I want it to. The lift already done. Those are my first thoughts of the day, every day.

Your brain doesn’t fully separate what you’ve rehearsed from what you’ve lived. Repeat something enough times in your head and it stops feeling like a goal and starts feeling like a memory. That’s what manifesting actually is: not wishing, but rehearsing reality until your body catches up.

If you want to try it:
☕ Tomorrow morning, give your first 10 minutes to your goal before anything else
👀 See it in full detail: where you are, what you hear, how it feels
✅ Watch it go exactly right, from start to finish
🔁 Do it again the next day. And the next.

Do that every morning and meet day stops being the day you find out. It’s just the day you show everyone what you already knew.

Train the body. Rehearse the mind. 🧠🏋🏻‍♀️

These two make me think a lot about what little girls learn to value in themselves.

Long before they really know who they are, they’re surrounded by messages about how they should look. What’s beautiful. What’s desirable. What gets noticed. And somewhere in all of that, it can become far too easy to start seeing yourself through everyone else’s eyes.

I hope to teach them to look inward just as much.

To enjoy being beautiful without needing beauty to define them. To dress up, wear the makeup, feel sexy one day and completely uninterested in any of it the next. To know that femininity can look a thousand different ways and none of it determines their value.

To never confuse being looked at with being seen.

Because what makes a woman truly magnetic has so little to do with what she looks like.

It’s her character. Her quirks. Her sense of humour. The things she gets excited about and the things she refuses to compromise on. It’s having her own opinions, her own ambitions, her own goals and the drive to go after them.

It’s being interesting because she’s interested in life. It’s knowing who she is without needing to look like everyone else.

Pretty can be part of you. It should never be the most interesting thing about you.

Maybe that’s our responsibility to the girls coming after us; not to teach them how to be beautiful, but to make sure they grow up knowing that who they become will always matter more than how they appear. 🤍✍️
