If you weren’t able to come to our New York opening on Thursday, our show is up at #rickwesterfineart through the new year. Here are some snaps for those who live farther afield. ✨✨✨

The work includes pieces from our series on Emily Dickinson; a collaboration with the Brandywine Museum on the ecology of that region; as well as new ongoing work from our collaboration with the New York Botanical Garden - their old growth forest and photo archive.

All works are archival photographic prints and are made originally with the pigments of plants, leaves, stems, bark, flowers, lichen, ferns, fruits etc. And exposed outside in the sun. #anthotypes

We made a thing with @leahsobsey 💙 back in 2019 Leah had the idea to create a replica of Thoreau’s cabin, to scale, but cover it in cyanotypes of his plant specimens in homage to Anna Atkins….and we are proud to say..here it is!!..just off Franklin Steet in Chapel Hill 💙 Please join us for the opening this Saturday! from 5-7 at The Horace Williams House, 610 East Rosemary Street. Leah also has some gorgeous pieces on display inside the house. Hope to see you there! Exhibition runs through December 31 💙 by @leahsobsey

💫 Save the date!
Opening reception October 10th 5-7pm. 💫 New work in progress for my upcoming solo exhibition at the Horace Williams House in Chapel Hill, coincidentally built the same year Thoreau was collecting plants at Walden Pond and Anna Atkins was publishing the first book of cyanotype photographs 🤯

Thank you @hightree19 for the invitation as part of @clickphotofest. I'm making loads of new work expanding on my collaborative exhibitions at @harvardmuseum and @ncstategreggmuseum using Thoreau's important collection of pressed plants.
In addition to new work on mica, I am making more cyanotype's on glass and an outdoor installation-a replica of Thoreau's cabin made from digitized cyanotypes on fabric will be installed on the grounds. Fabric printed by the amazing @red.canary
As always thank you to science collaborators @emilymeineke and Charles Davis.
Hope to see you there 💙🤍 @clickphotofest

And if you're in TN go check out @xoimmersiveart video projection at The Frist! by @leahsobsey
