In the technological realm, is constant growth really the only way forward? How can we prune harmful behaviors and plant more sustainable habits?

Click.Garden reimagines our technological future through the lens of gardens. The purpose of the project is to cultivate awareness and disseminate knowledge at the intersection of creativity, technology and sustainability, understanding that through routine we might better change our habits.

Next Tuesday April 22nd @creativecodingnyc will be at Pier 57 from 6-8pm in NYC for a very special event with guest @leaniceberg

Please join the workshops and meetup on Earth Day for a communal creative coding session. In this hands-on workshop you'll explore some techniques to make letters come to life on the browser and become reactive to your cursor. Basic P5.js experience recommended but not required.

Bring your laptops!

Our next Inscript Innovation Grant recipient is @leaniceberg! Naisberg works at the overlap of design, code, play, and absurdity—and believes it’s important to allow humans to see themselves reflected in the texts they are interpreting or writing, which she sometimes takes quite literally.

Currently working on her master’s thesis, Naisberg is researching permacomputing, including tools to make digital design and practices more sustainable and tech-conscious (philosophically). We’re looking forward to seeing what all she does, and how her work evolves next!

Thank you to @mintoming, @samarskaya, @slobzheninov (of @contemporarytype) for the reviews and tough discussions, and to everyone who applied. We were overwhelmed with the talent of applicants, and hope to see you back in future years. by @leaniceberg
