Keith didn't set out to become a leather craftsman. But somewhere between the deep, primal smell of the hides, the rhythm of the stitching, and the quiet satisfaction of shaping something from nothing in his hands -- he found a place to call home.

The racks behind him hold enough leather for a lifetime of making. Each hide waiting, like the rest of us, to find its place in the orchestra. To play its part when the moment comes.

He's been standing in rooms that smell like this for most of his life, working energy into little leather sidekicks that will go on to become part of someone else's daily story.

He never planned it. And when people ask how it happened, he just smiles.

There were days when only the sea air would do.

Days when her thoughts needed more room than four walls could give them. The horizon seemed to understand that without asking questions. Out here, everything had space to move. The wind, the water, the small ideas that had been waiting for their turn.

Her sidekick came with her, carrying the ordinary things while the rest began to feel lighter.

No grand occasion required. Something bright on your arm, a few useful bits inside, and off you go. Still, there is something in the way it catches the eye, as if a little bit of workshop magic found its way into this one and encouraged it to enjoy itself.

As a child, she remembered it feeling impossibly large. Bright signs, loud music, and the hustle and bustle of crowds pushing past.
This was the first time she had come back grown-up, and somehow the place felt both smaller and more magical than she expected.
Perhaps it was the way she had dressed, but it changed how everything felt. The lights seemed warmer, the music softer, the whole place touched with a borrowed memory. For a moment, she thought of her great grandparents in old photographs. Dressed properly for the day. Stepping out into movement, music, lights, and possibility.
Her little sidekick was beside her, of course, looking entirely at home among the lights and old music, as if it had known all along this was exactly where they were meant to be. by @leathersatchel

This one knows exactly what it is.

A proper high-end leather briefcase satchel, proud of its heritage, and rather fond of its natural honey colour. It has the air of an explorer about it, ready for sun, wind, and miles of use, gathering a weathered patina through every adventure, eager to be passed from generation to generation, collecting new stories with different people in different places.

It had started, as these things often do, with one small idea that simply refused to stay small. The jumper came first, bright, bold, orange. Then the car. She had found the print on a scrap of old fabric she had no sensible reason to keep. After that, the backpack was inevitable.

Perhaps her little sidekick had in fact been there long before, not yet made, just a little spark of magic somewhere in the ether. A gentle pull towards the orange, the car, the old pattern, creating a whole cheerful world for them before it had ever even existed.

Somewhere ahead, perhaps another chapter was already awaiting their arrival. by @leathersatchel

This one has a proper old-school streak. It looks like it knows exactly where it is going, and probably packed five minutes before you did. There is a smart, practical feel to it, but with just enough mischief in the details to stop it behaving too seriously. A loyal little sidekick for work, study, or wherever the day decides to drag you.
