We’ll be making a beeline for @lecrocodilebk after Labor Day Weekend.

@burrow.bk chef and owner @sammykoolik brought CULTURED to the Williamsburg mainstay, where he sat down with Chef de Cuisine Borja del Cerro to eat its burger au poivre. Served on a brioche bun with peppercorn sauce, caramelized onions, Gruyère, aged cheddar, and smoked Spanish cheese, it’s rich, messy, and, according to Borja, best approached cut in half.

Recreate Le Crocodile’s Steak Tartare at home. This recipe adheres to bistro tradition: grass-fed eye of round finely chopped, dressed with anchovies, capers, ketchup, mayonnaise, parsley, and chives.

A French classic we recommend eating with grilled bread, fries, potato chips or all of the above.

Our friends at @colossalmedia fearlessly scaled the walls of Wythe last week to give our Le Crocodile mural an update.

For over 20 years, Colossal has helped revive a lost art, hand-painting murals throughout Williamsburg and helping shape the neighborhood’s iconic look and feel.
