A couple of years later and our shared values remain. We’re still celebrating quality, craftsmanship, and the beauty in everyday comforts. Our collaboration with Le Crocodile, a 12oz heavyweight French Terry crewneck sweatshirt, is back in stock now.

"I think my favorites were the chicken liver and foie gras terrine and trout Almondine. I also liked the mushroom pate, escargot, and duck.”

“Totally agree that the chicken liver was the best item we ordered. The mains were good, but not exceptional. The trout Almondine was the best from the set. When I go again, I’d reorder the escargot and chicken liver. I overhead a waiter raving about the chicken but didn’t see any table actually order it 🤔. Lots of steak frites at various tables.”

The trout amandine at Le Crocodile-Perfectly cooked trout, golden toasted almonds, and all the buttery, nutty goodness of a French bistro classic. Definitely a dish worth savoring. #sce #lecrocodile #buttermeupandcallmeFrench

📍 le crocodile - french restauraunt in New York IT WAS SOOOO GOOD! Mason and I shared the Veal brisket and duck breast and they were amazing! The little gem salad was also absoluely perfect and light with a head of butter lettuce. Mason got a Negroni and I got an Aperol spritz. 10/10 restaurant (my only negative feedback was the brisket was VERY fatty so if you don’t like fatty meats don’t get it)

New York makes everyone obsess over dinner reservations. 💌 I think some of the smarter bookings happen at lunch.

And we have done the work for you, here the only 3 spots you have to know 🗝️ because you don’t need a long list!

- Le Bernardin when you want the serious seafood experience without giving the entire evening to it. @lebernardinny

- The Modern when daylight, MoMA and the sculpture garden should all be part of the plan. @themodernnyc @themuseumofmodernart

- Le Crocodile when a proper Williamsburg lunch followed by an afternoon in Brooklyn sounds considerably better than another rushed dinner reservation. @lecrocodilebk

Save this for New York and follow @thefinecircle for the reservations worth making differently. We share the only gems and edits worth your time! ❤️‍🔥

Comment NEW YORK and we’ll send you our full New York guide with the restaurants, hotels, bars and addresses actually worth knowing.

In theory, the Negroni is a simple, three-equal-parts cocktail that provides the perfect balance of bitter and botanical. But many of New York City's top bars and restaurants go far beyond the classic gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth spec. From quaffable sbagliatos spiked with Lambrusco to culinary takes inspired by mole or even a balsamic-dressed salad, here's a flavor map to some of our favorite Negronis in NYC.
