Most weekend mornings, I wake up craving @supthai.restaurant

I love that they serve their chicken mince kra pao with scrambled eggs. Recently tried their Khao Soi. Creamy egg noodles in a well balanced curry, soft chicken thighs and crunchy noods for texture.

The small restaurant is unassumingly tucked inside a complex in Waterloo. Staff are always lovely and if I can move past these two dishes, I really want to try the rest of that menu.

INVITE: @seoulgardenbbq.nsw grand opening

They pulled out all the stops last night at the opening of @seoulgardenbbq.nsw inside @thegaleries.

We were greeted with soju cocktails, rows of premium meats for the bbq, fresh seafood sat on ice waiting to be dunked in a hot pot and they even had a chocolate fountain.

This has got to be the best value for money buffet in Sydney right now. $45pp for lunch and $53 for dinner and you get 90mins to stuff yourself until you’re rolling out.
You have a choice of Korean bbq, hot pot (or both) and they also have hot food station, instant noodle station and every dessert you might crave (if you still have room in your tummy).

The staff were polite and helpful, they changed our bbq tray at least twice. The place is huge but I’d still recommend booking because it’ll fill up.

You’ve probably walked past this restaurant many times.

@thecharles.sydney is on King St in Sydney CBD, step away from the bustling st and into this grand venue with high ceilings and an open kitchen.

We came for the prix fixe menu, which included bread and butter starter, a choice of mains served with chips and salad, finish with a generous slice of Russian honey cake.
We couldn’t help but order extra starters, the blue fin tuna crudo with artichoke and the scallop and abalone beignets, both were exceptional especially the beignets.

We were bursting at the seams by dessert but still managed a few mouthfuls of the honey cake, decadent yet light and spongy.

Service was attentive, though they did forget one of our beignets but was quick to remedy. Sommelier had great recommendations for wine as well.

I have indulged all through September… and it was worth it!

I’ll never want to eat a katsu any other way, they’ve ruined me for life!

The Sirloin was perfection

Great chips, curry mayo stole the show. It was unexpectedly tasty and addictive.

I devoured this like I hadn’t eaten for days. A good and plentiful selection of seafood, cooked perfectly.

I know, technically not food but it was exceptional and it came with olives so I’m counting it as a meal.

Must order the prawn toast! Well seasoned fries. Came for the happy hour, left fed and tipsy 👌🏼

The everything special was stuffed with chicken, avocado, mushroom, corn and cheese. It was bursting with filling and flavour.

Another one that has ruined me. I’ll never want to eat another Portuguese tart unless it’s from these guys.

I mean…. LOOK at it. Perfect, no notes. So creamy, rich and sinful! I’ll take 20 of them please!
