When you wake up and don’t let the weather report dictate your day. I woke up thinking … I will likely get wet, and be cold, but I’ll be with my horse in the fall magic. No matter what it will be a beautiful day that I won’t forget…. And yes we got wet and we were cold and uncomfortable for 30 min, and then the sky parted and the sun came out. The sun dried us in no time, and the beautiful blue birds came out to play with us along this peaceful journey into the mountains filled with color and joyful play. No day with a horse is a bad day. No time in nature is not good. I will never pass up an opportunity to feel all the emotions of what life has to offer.
In this moment and on this mountain nothing could touch me but pure overwhelming positivity and love!

We have no idea how many days we have but I don’t think I’ll waste one or sit on the side lines waiting for perfect weather!

Some things make me smile … thank you GOD for good horses, good people, mountains, and roping. It just fills me with love & happiness!

Don’t be afraid to risk it. Life is to short and happiness is rare in this world. I’m so grateful that I went back and gave my 7 year old self a chance. Someone told me 4 years ago .. you have to go back to that kid you pushed aside and left behind. Find her and talk to her. I’m so glad I went back for her and tried to live the life she was made for and wanted along. I would not have changed the path I went down for anything. It was my journey, but I sure am glad I decided to chase the dream that always belonged to me. I’m grateful that I risked it. Could not be more happy,and proud. Even on rough days I’m sure glad I’m living this beautiful cowgirl life. 🐴❤️ #cowgirl

At 51 .. this is a moment to remember! My first rodeo @carbondalewildwestrodeo . We had a dream, made a plan, worked our butts off and went for it! I’m incredibly proud 🐴!

You don’t do anything great alone in life. It took dedication for sure but also the support, time, and belief from so many including my amazing horse Jewel. #teamroping

This will go down as one of the best moments and memories. Let’s GO !!! This is only the beginning!

✔️ it off list !! This was literally my first Rodeo. We came to play @carbondalewildwestrodeo
3rd out of 104 teams
A night I’ll never forget! & So many more to come!

The biggest thanks to my people !! This has been a dream come true. I first have to thank my friend and mentor Bull Austin! Thank you for helping me and believing in me Bull.

My amazing husband (and biggest fan), and amazing family @sauterjd2 @grace.sauter @austin_sauter for loving me, supporting this dream and our horses! Love you all so much!

@khstockdogs We made it girl, and it’s only the beginning for us! Thank you for sharing this journey with me and pushing me to do the uncomfortable work, and making sure we always kicked in the pants laughing along each and every day!

@hmdc_design for always being my ride and die and sharing this dream with me. You never stop believing in me. I adore you my amazing friend. So much fun coming in our future rodeo nights!

@addyhyatt cheering me on even when I miss. Helping with all the stepping stones. Watching and supporting me chase this dream and all the encouragement kept me happy smiling, and mostly getting out of my head. 😂

@camilla81611 for the support and faith you show up with every single day. Cheering us on and being with us in all the small and big moments! ❤️🐴

@paulawoodphoto thanks for literally making this night happen. You are so amazing and in so many ways and I’m so blessed and lucky you have been on this ride with us!

@black_ghost5825 for seeing my determination and knowing I would get to the other side. Laughing with me, and all the tips at practice! Forever grateful!

Who would have ever guessed that watching you guys with ropes each summer would lead to this. Thank you for your being an inspiration, support, giving so much guidance and all the practices after our days on the drive !!

I love my people so much! Lots of people did not want to help me but these people said YES and showed up always to support my dream! Find your YES people and go get those dreams people!

To my boy Dexter - the unicorn 🦄!
I’m so proud to be your family. You are a kind, beautiful, goofy, sweet, gentle, loving, silly, radiant, energy shifter who will forever have my heart. ❤️ You came into our life at the perfect time. It’s was like a door opened and you were waiting for me on the other side. It was the beginning of a beautiful journey. You gave me so much joy, and confidence from day one and still do. You are the guy that always shows up ready for whatever we have planned for you that day. My faithful boy that lets me try all the new things I want to try. Climbs the mountain that has no trail or clear path ahead. You still go and make the path for us. Gallops that big body even when you think you are tired. You always show up for all my crazy ideas and dreams. You love so unconditionally. Thank you Dexter for taking care of whoever we put on you and also being the BIGGEST best part of our family. I adore you dude !

I bought this boy from @rmohorses This team stands behind their horses for a reason. They are great horses sold and trained by great people. Sadly it’s not always that way in the horse world we live in, but they not only delivered the horse they said he was but they also have followed up and encouraged me along the way. They are also kind, and wonderful people. I’m really grateful for Dexter but also them … So thanks Joe @rmohorses ! You are also a unique unicorn! Appreciate you ! 🦄

One day, Dexter said to LeeAnn “All my life I’ve heard stories about a place called Aspen, where the air and water that flows down from the mountains are fresh and clean like no other. And LeeAnn said to Dexter “You are an extraordinary creature and I want to make your dream come true. Let’s go breathe that crisp mountain air. Let’s go soothe our legs in the cold stream.
