One day, Dexter said to LeeAnn “All my life I’ve heard stories about a place called Aspen, where the air and water that flows down from the mountains are fresh and clean like no other. And LeeAnn said to Dexter “You are an extraordinary creature and I want to make your dream come true. Let’s go breathe that crisp mountain air. Let’s go soothe our legs in the cold stream. And let’s bring friends to share it with!” And they did.

Days spent with horses can be some of the worst and some of the best days of your life. And the pendulum can swing in an afternoon. I am so glad I put aside my worry and said yes to the ride today. In life, you can find people who will lift you up when you need it. Thank you @leeannsauter and @khstockdogs for today. You guys rock.

When wild horses are rounded up by the Bureau of Land Management, they are each branded with a code on their neck. It shows where, when, and how old they were when removed from public land. Or more to the point, the date their freedom and families were taken from them. These symbols, however, are also ones of strength, authenticity, and truth. They are, in their own way, a Nike brand of a true wild spirit. If you see one, you can trust you’re looking into the eyes of a real, wild, raw, and deeply spiritual being. They hold a special kind of magic. Some of the last remaining wild and wonderful parts of this world live in their hearts and minds. Every cell in their body was born to be wild and free, and they lend us a glimpse of the freedom our own souls so often seek. If you want to learn read a wild mustang’s code, here’s how you can do it. It’s not as hard as you think and it’s actually pretty cool to know. Welcome to wonder. And look out for that “U” shape sign at the start of the code that’s how you know you’re in the presence of a true, genuine American mustang. Please Pay tribute to these beings. They carry wisdom beyond comprehension, beyond what words can explain.

This was Pinz - herd leader - at 2am on Monday. He’s disregulated, not feeling safe - left behind by his herd because he is injured. I went to see him to calm him. Horses - like humans - are meant to live in community to feel safe and thrive. However for horses in the wild they won’t wait for an injured horse in the herd. The herd will keep moving, for safety, for food and for water - and to keep away from predators. That’s the wild way. Fortunately our herd returned an hour or so later - and we all snuggled down to sleep in the shavings together. Yes - me and Pinz fast asleep, spooning! I slept so well, curled up & warm under his neck and beneath the stars! ⭐️ ✨🌠 🤠🐎#wildhorses #mindfulmustang #mindfulmustangtopanga #polyvagaltheory #horsetherapy @thecowgirlpr @polyvagalequineinstitute @dr.rebeccabailey

A Sunday morning game in the Topanga Canyon mist turned mindfulness lesson. The mustangs don’t play by rules — they play by energy! #MindfulMustang #MindfulKids #EquineTherapy #ruggedranchherd #TopangaCanyon #wildhorses

Booked four magazine covers, three podcasts, and a few shoots. Lined up new launches, approved art, answered the usual “Botox?” questions. And somewhere between all that… made five trips to plumbing stores, two to Home Depot, fixed a toilet, built a fence, and moved 60 boulders. The contrast still makes me laugh — and it’s kind of the point. Because PR is designing, problem-solving, planning, patching things together — in every sense. I get to build stories and fences! To juggle glossy fun and real-world grit. And honestly — how bloody lucky am I to do both? #CowgirlPR #BuiltOfBackbone #GritAndGlam #cowboycode Reality
