What a way to end 2021!! This is an absolute dream shot for me. I photographed this tiger shark a few days ago while shooting the great hammer head migration in Bimini. On my first dive this female tiger shark known as joker showed up and blessed me with a dive I’ll never forget. I still haven’t fully digested this experience. The adrenaline rush of having a tiger shark approach you is a thrill for sure but knowing I was scoring the shot of my life made it even better. Thanks @biminiscubacenter for this epic experience!

I drew this over the holiday break to say thanks to our friends who roll out the red carpet for us when ever we go to @sdgullsahl games! We’ve become loyal fans! I took a long break from posting. Not a lot of traveling at the moment but I’ve been drawing, painting and creating a lot of art in my free time. It feels great! On Thanksgiving day my daughter and I shared a monumental experience!! Summer learned to scuba dive in Mexico over the break and we were able to do her first open water dive side by side… At 10 years old my girl is always up for an Adventure, willing to sacrifice comfort and face challenges head on. From camping off grid to ocean exploration I couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime!! Thanks so much @diamelagallo for your patience and professionalism. You are phenomenal at what you do. My daughter Summers last year in the Nippers program! For those who are unfamiliar it’s essentially a junior, junior lifeguard program which takes place in a bay for children not yet old enough for the junior lifeguard program in the ocean.

My girl Summer thrives on competing in athletics. She won in the Main event “beach flags” for the second year in a row. It’s extremely difficult because only one competitor is eliminated at a time and there’s a lot of competition.

she wanted it so bad and I’m beyond proud of her for achieving her goal. You can swipe to watch her intensity in the final 😂. But as a father I’m most proud of the third video. There were 3 athletes left and Summer tripped on her get up. Similar to an infield pop up in baseball, It’s usually an automatic out. But instead of giving up she ran her little heart out. The other two girls went for the same flag leaving summer uncontested. She went on to win!!! This made me so proud. An incredible teaching moment and life lesson! I also think it’s a testament to the program and what they are teaching the kids in this community

Happy New Year!! Here’s a Sea anemone from the extreme low tides we’ve had recently. After an epic winter break the girls and I spent a few days camping in Malibu to end the year off right. We explored the Leo Carrillo state park tide pools, watched the massive swell that hit Southern California and flow over the pacific coast highway, hiked, cooked awesome food and went to the Santa Monica pier. We’re stoked for 2024!!

Yesterday was my 37th birthday! If you asked me as a kid my perfect career I couldn’t of scripted it any better! I’m an Elementary art school teacher, a photographer, artist and work for a municipality in the summer as a lifeguard and help manage a stretch of beaches in what I consider the most beautiful place in the world, East Hampton New York. I’m an extremely proud father and love to spread positive energy where ever I am. I couldn’t be any happier with the present or anymore optimistic about the future!! Thanks to everyone in my life and all I’ve crossed paths with along the way. Recognize your weaknesses and embrace your strengths. Hold yourself accountable and Pursue your passion! ❤️🙏
