Today was a trip to the speed shop for a working ⛽ sending unit and a few minor tweaks. Shout out to @keegstheslickest for his help!

I drove out to the county airport to ask the manager if we could use the landing strip this Sunday for drag racing. Sadly he said no and gave me some nonsensical reason about it being an active runway.👎

Another day driving the Olds and passing Amish buggy caution signs and Dollar General stores. What's nice about living in rural Ohio is that I often have the road to myself and can be in the moment with my car.

The guys at my neighborhood NAPA store gave me these stickers because they wanted me to leave. I was 12, they were busy, and my bike was blocking their door.

I rediscovered this awesome article about George Barris in the August/September 1966 issue of Popular Custom! Reading a feature story about the Kustom King from when he was working and creating is fascinating! Fun fact: I bought the magazine, along with a couple of comic books for 12 cents, at Quinn's Drugstore.

When I was in high school in 1972 I joined a local car club, CARS of Ohio. I was the youngest member by 20 years, but the other men welcomed me into the club and never made my age an issue. In fact, they urged me to get a club jacket and here it is, 50 years later and still looking pretty good!
