Beyond thrilled to be showing ‘A Suffolk Landscape’ (and a few smaller works) @closeltd in LOOK OUT, opening next month in Somerset. A Suffolk Landscape, 2024-26 oil, oil pastel on canvas 170 x 125 cm Private view: Saturday 12 September, 2-4pm Exhibition walkthrough with the artists: 2.15-2.45pm CLOSE Gallery, Hatch Beauchamp, Somerset TA3 6AE. LOOK OUT A Group Exhibition Exploring Landscape Across a Century of Change. David Abbott | Dien Berziga | Christabel Blackburn | Sarah Gillespie | Magnus Hammick | Ivon Hitchens | Lee Johnson | Charlotte Keates | Rob Lyon | Katherine Perrins | Ged Quinn | Myrna Quiñonez | Saad Qureshi | Harriet White Bringing together artists working across more than a century, LOOK OUT explores landscape as both a physical reality and a psychological space. Spanning generations of artists living and working in Britain, the exhibition considers the enduring power of landscape to offer reflection, resilience and renewal in times of profound change, inviting us to see the world through new perspectives. Reflecting Somerset’s rich artistic heritage while extending far beyond geographical boundaries, LOOK OUT brings together the local and the global, the remembered and the imagined. Through painting, sculpture and mixed media, the exhibition offers an opportunity to pause, reflect and reconnect with the landscapes that shape our lives. Exhibition presented in association with @rainwellbeing @blashenwellwines and @thewickculture @misskatywick Sales enquiries and advanced preview request @rscarryart by @leejohnsonstudio
THE SAME RAIN an exhibition of recent paintings by @veritywoolley and @leejohnsonstudio presented by @ArtMoorHouse, in association with James Elwes, founder-director of @tin.man.art Painting is, among other things, a way of paying attention. These two painters each begin with the felt experience of landscape its weight, its light, its capacity to hold memory and find their way back to paint through gesture, colour, and accumulated mark. by @leejohnsonstudio

I haven’t made an ‘Afternoon Painting’ for a while now, so it’s nice to get the A1 sheets of paper out again. For new followers (thanks and hi..!) the Afternoon Paintings are a loose series where I make a painting on a single sheet of A1 paper in the afternoon. The title was tough to come up with… The idea is to make something straight after lunch in one sitting - no tinkering or adjustments the next day / week / month / year etc. I use it as a way to learn how to commit to an idea and push something towards resolution; to make decisions quickly and not succumb to procrastination (of which I am a master). Available via #artistsupportpledge Afternoon Painting XXIII, 2026 oil, oil pastel on paper 84 x 59.5 cm £220(with free UK shipping) @artistsupportpledge Please follow the guidelines: 1. Keep generosity flowing by continuing your support 2. Be responsible in shipping work to buyers. It may mean asking them to wait for the work to be delivered until a more appropriate time. 3. If you are buying, or have already paid, please be patient and offer to wait to receive the work. - The concept is a simple one. You post images of your work to sell for no more than £220 each (not including shipping.) Anyone can then buy the work. Every time you reach £1100 of sales you pledge to buy another artist’s work for £220. by @leejohnsonstudio

@kenartspace ‘Configurations’ Open today 11-5, tomorrow 11-5 and Saturday 11-4 Featuring @paul_ashurst_ @vincent_hawkins_ @leejohnsonstudio @linda.khatri @jolewisart @emily_motto @darren_c_obrien @ruthphilo @john_robertson123 @dillwynsmith ‘Configurations’ is a group exhibition featuring ten artists who practices engage with themes of assembly and perception, that is, the act of seeing beyond the direct line of sight: focusing on the edges, the initially unseen, and the subtleties of the act of looking and discovery. Curated by Linda Khatri and Jo Lewis, the exhibition includes works that continue to reveal themselves as the viewer shifts their line of vision. The works together celebrate the joy of looking in their elements of surprise, subversion, and revelation. Exploring how this awareness manifests across diverse practices lies at the heart of the exhibition and defines its spirit . Ken Artspace, 16 Windmill Row, London SE11 5DW Exhibition Dates: Saturday 26 September - Saturday 24 October 2026 Finissage: Saturday 24 October, 2-4pm Opening times: Thursday 11- 5/ Friday 11 - 5/ Saturday 11 - 4 or by appointment More details are available on the website : https://www.kenartspace by @leejohnsonstudio
