🐾 CALLIE IS STILL WAITING FOR HER FOREVER HOME 🏡♥️

After spending most of her life surviving on the streets, our sweet senior girl Callie is finally learning what it means to feel safe.

Callie was one of the oldest cats in a colony in Honolulu and lived for years near the shipyard. When changes to the property made it unsafe for her to remain there, we knew we had to get her out.

And then she surprised us. 🥹

Outside, Callie kept her distance and would let anyone pet her. But once she was brought indoors, it was as though she realized she was finally safe. She started asking for affection, enjoying pets, and showing us the incredibly sweet girl who had been hiding underneath all those years of survival ♥️

She’s even become quite the little pastry chef, happily making biscuits in her new surroundings 🥐🐾

Now we want the final chapter of Callie’s story to be the very best one: a home and family of her own.

She has spent enough years surviving. It’s time for her to spend the rest of them being spoiled, comfortable and deeply loved.

Meet Callie 🤍 Callie is a senior girl from Linda’s Colony in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.

She spent years living on a nearby shipyard property where the owner wanted the cats gone. Rather than allowing rescuers to help through TNR or other humane solutions, access to the property was refused. Over time, chicken wire was installed along the bottom of the fence and barbed wire along the top, making it even more dangerous for the cats to move between the shipyard and the feeding locations.

As the oldest cat on that street, Callie could no longer climb the fence to reach the food we put out each day. We knew we couldn’t leave her behind. Rescue became the only option.

What happened next amazed us.

For years, Callie wouldn’t let anyone—not even Linda, who fed her every day—touch her. But the moment she came indoors, it was as if she knew she was finally safe. She immediately leaned into pets, started making biscuits, and has shown us the sweetest, most loving personality.

Now she’s discovering soft beds, gentle hands, and all the love she deserves. She gets along well with other cats and is ready to spend her golden years in a forever home.

‼️🚨 We urgently need your help 🚨‼️

We may have an emergency case at Linda’s Colony. One of our colony cats is showing neurological symptoms, and we’re concerned he could have toxoplasmosis or neurological FIP. We won’t know for sure until he can be safely trapped and examined by a veterinarian.

Last night, he was extremely wobbly, which is not normal for him. He was also making biscuits and crying, which makes us worry he may be in distress. Our hope is to secure him this evening, get him to a veterinarian for testing, and then make a treatment plan based on the results.

The problem is that we simply don’t have the funds. Right now, our reserves are already stretched just trying to feed the 150+ cats that rely on Linda’s Colony.

If you swipe left, you’ll also meet Callie. 🩷 She’s now safe in a foster home with one of our dedicated feeders. Because she isn’t with a rescue, we are covering all of her care independently. She’s incredibly affectionate, gets along with other cats, and is an expert biscuit maker.
