Stones collected from the mountains, branches gathered from the orchard, and marble fragments discarded during industrial production are transformed into functional objects such as tables, chairs, and shelves, guided by the inherent qualities and forms of each material. Rather than extensively reshaping these materials, the work proceeds by respecting their original state, carrying them into new material conditions, and allowing them to enter new relationships and contexts.

Through this process, the materials reveal not only their forms but also traces of time and memory, creating a scene where nature and the artificial coexist.

<Proportions of stone> is a modeling experiment on the fundamentality of stone cast away by natural phenomena. Consisting of tables, chairs, and other functional furniture pieces, the dimensions of each piece were determined by the stones borrowed from nature. The shapes and functions of the designs were only formed after. Stones mounted on manufactured steel plates play both structural and aesthetic roles. These juxtaposed mediums are opposite, yet balanced - fulfilling the artist's desire to "balance the relationship between nature and artifact."
