it’s my birthday so i’m sharing some of my favourite blends from my super kawaii set at @tokyobeerlab earlier this month 🎂 full set is out now via their youtube channel d^_^b

in spite of the language barrier, getting to experience the universally spoken language that is music by djing in a foreign country was truly something special. i hope this can be the first of many

One of Aotearoa/New Zealand’s most exciting new artists is Pōneke/Wellington-based @clova_444, who’s become a viral sensation for her organic approach to live performance. While only 21, CLOVA, real name Lauren Doherty, has been releasing music under the moniker since she was still at school, and has built a reputation for a freestyle live show where no two are ever the same.

Riding off the high of the Aotearoa Music Awards, @caru_xo and @brandnshiraz have announced ‘Two for Two’, the appropriately titled follow-up project to ‘Back 2 Back’. A year and a half on from their debut, ‘Two for Two’ finds the pair cementing a space that’s distinctly their own, further stretching the boundaries of genre, and developing their refined sound with the addition of live jazz instrumentation from renowned Tāmaki Makaurau multi-instrumentalist @joekaptein.

Writer @lefthandloz speaks to a duo paying respect to where they come from in every aspect of what they do.
