Last Friday we opened The Green Room, a space usually reserved for artists and DJs, up to the public for Small Rooms Big Noise, and this Friday we’re doing it again at Neck Level! This Friday you’ll have two dance floors to choose from - the big floor in front of the mighty Ghost Soundsystem, or the more intimate afters vibes of The Green Room. We’ve got 15 DJs lined up for the night and whichever dance floor you’re on, it’s gonna be a party. Neck Level Friday 23 October 9PM - Late Ticket link in our bio (free for members)

One of Aotearoa/New Zealand’s most exciting new artists is Pōneke/Wellington-based @clova_444, who’s become a viral sensation for her organic approach to live performance. While only 21, CLOVA, real name Lauren Doherty, has been releasing music under the moniker since she was still at school, and has built a reputation for a freestyle live show where no two are ever the same. Writer Laura McInnes (@lefthandloz) speaks to the Aotearoa musician-turned-producer about paying homage to music's history in a multitude of ways. Read the full piece via our linkinbio.

Left Hand Loz is on the lineup at Small Rooms Big Noise this Friday so we asked her, how are music venues a third space for you? What makes music venues a third space for you? “music venues are a vital third space because they provide a sense of escapism, self expression, release, and connection that are all essential pillars of my mental health and wellbeing - neck of the woods is a third space that has always felt like a second home <3” - Laura / @lefthandloz Small Rooms Big Noise is a celebration of these music venues we call our third spaces! 1 ticket, 3 venues, 7 rooms and a whole lot of good noise. Whammy, Neck of the Woods and Button Factory Friday, October 16 7PM - late
