My favourite part of cons is ALWAYS the people watching. If you look closely, theres love and hope and joy in every single moment of these massive events. And thats what theyre really about.

About Me // Where to find me!!

I am always going to be a cosplayer at my core, but as the times change,I find myself losing why I love this HOBBY to begin with,and its no doubt my account (and all of instagram) has shifted,and its time I embrace all my personal changes. The worlds in turmoil and caring about movies,anime and video games all seems hopeless. But it doesnt have to be!

2026, I am focusing on unifying my passions, and embracing what COMMUNITY really means! This friday the 13th I will be hosting another SAVE FILE SOCIAL and I hope to see you there,because these spaces are so much more than news feeds. I hope to bring this energy to cons and projects moving forward and I cannot wait to share that with you!

I debuted Miruko for the first time at a con this weekend! and boy was I anxious! but it was a hit :)

I am blessed enough to be able to work at and attend a lot of cons in the NYC area, and I currently have a larger scaled project I'd like to see through, but it doesn't mean I haven't had mixed feelings.

Here's some gentle reminders to get you through it all 🖤 along with my lineup, and some thoughts, I suppose.

Luckily, I will be surrounded by some amazing people and celebrating/supporting art in a way that is meaningful to me, and I'll even get to attend my first afterparty in years, thanks to being invited as a featured cosplayer. And that's a nice lil escapism for me!

If you told 11-year-old me that being obsessed with video games and anime would be the thing that saved me, I'd probably believe you.

I was badly bullied growing up, and the first time I felt a real connection with my peers was when we passed around a borrowed copy of Bleach. I went down the anime rabbit hole FAST. I'd already been consumed by video games, so cosplay was the next reasonable step.

Now I'm so much older, and cosplay has been my outlet through trauma, a way to embrace my body and fitness goals, how I celebrate surviving assault, and how I've met so many of my friends.

I wouldn't be the same person without fandom. Streaming has introduced me to some of my biggest supporters and given me the confidence to try new things. It's made me want to be more present in people's lives and work harder in my creative endeavors.

Now that I'm trying to connect people OUTSIDE of cons, I have a sense of purpose I couldn't find before. Something to look forward to every month, knowing others look forward to it too.

Everything matters, especially in these spaces. And showing up for one another is how we make sure suicide doesn't win. by @legendofanakin

This has been SUCH a hot topic lately,and as someone whos got "nothing" to show for community events I have helped w (except the countless people who've told me how Save File Social is the highlight of their month) I have a bit to say:

community absolutely exists, and not all organizers are just social climbers.

Real community events focus on:

Inclusivity (in price, location, and most importantly, demographic)

Consistency (predictable hours, and reliable communication w those involved)

ACTUAL social elements (the host should introduce people or find a way to get folks interacting.)

and usually an activity or joint project. even a fundraiser.the issue is,people arent taking risks on these events bc no content creator they know is covering it, no big sponsor,etc.the issue is,people arent taking risks on these events bc no content creator they know is covering it, no big sponsor,etc.

To the organizers:
You aren't foolish for caring.

To the attendees:
You aren't “just a number.”

To the lurkers:
You're allowed to come alone.

featured some of the best people ive met at cons, who made some of the smallest moments feel so large. I dont know the furry (whos name is SNAXX and i met him at Gencon!) he just remembered me each day and it was so exciting idk. The America cosplayer who was SO enthusastic when I asked for a photo and it just made me nostalgic, and of course the best bastitch I've met in recent years, @reallifelobo ( and his wife @sarah_devoe !) who are the most supportive,sweetiest of sweeties. Justin is a cosplayer who truly makes cosplaying feel like community, and I cant imagine not knowing such a talented passionate human in this space! taken in Javits Center by @legendofanakin

my first @gen_con was spent with two of my favorite people and actually meant everything to me. thank you to @renegade_game_studios , The Wrecking crew and most of all @malcolmwinter for making it happen! I had so many convos that mightve just changed how i see so many things in this space. i got more compliments than ever in my LIFE,and I realized cosplay ISNT why i have so much fun at cons. its bc im happy to be there. who knew!
