It took 1143 days, two 10k models and one very close Target fan vote to make this dream come true! And now the wait is finally over! Today my very own LEGO IDEAS set was officially revealed: LEGO IDEAS set #51 the "VIKING VILLAGE". You can pre-order your own copy starting tomorrow! I am still in utter disbelief that this is really happening! Even though I already have the fully built model right next to me while typing this, it still feels so surreal! Thank you so much to each and everyone who supported my two VIKING VILLAGE projects and voted for my village in the Target fan vote. Without you this would not have been possible! I cannot thank you enough for helping me to turn my dream into reality! #lego #ideas #legoideas #brickhammer #vikings #viking #vikingvillage #history #castle #target #toys #toy #knights by @legobrickhammer
Thank you so much for all of your great feedback on my "Outlaw Forest Den". It is still hard for me to comprehend that we have actually managed to bring the Wolfpack back after more than 30 years. So far, the pre-order phase is going great, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has already pre-ordered the model. You have made a childhood dream come true. Currently, there are still a few sets available, but the pre-order phase ends in less than 3 days, so hurry up and order your sets before it is too late and you migjt have to wait another 30 years before you get the chance to get your hands on a Wolfpack castle. I honestly have no idea how long the supply will last. Thanks again for all the great feedback, all the nice messages, and your support. I really appreciate it. Also, thank you very much for all the positive comments in the comment section of my latest BDP submission, the "Driftwood Keep". I was blown away by the overwhelming feedback. Thank you! #lego #bricklink #bricklinkstudio #bdp6 #bdp9 #bdpseries6 #bdpseries9 #bricklinkdesignerprogram #brickhammer #wolfpack #kraken #krakens #castle #afol #moc #brickbuilt #instalego #legocastle #minifigure by @legobrickhammer

LEGO IDEAS has just launched an exciting new challenge called “Hope Assembles” inviting fans to submit product ideas that combine elements from both Marvel and Star Wars! After an initial phase in which fans can comment on all contest entries, the LEGO team will select 5 finalists. Starting December 15, we’ll then get the chance to vote for our favourite. The winning design will ultimately become an official LEGO IDEAS set! Although I mainly enjoy building castle-themed models, I simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to participate, being a lifelong Marvel and Star Wars fan. I immediately knew what I wanted to create: a fusion of two of the most iconic and powerful villains of all time: Darth Vader and Doctor Doom combined into the ultimate villain: "Darth Doom – Sith Supreme!" So, if you like my "Darth Doom – Sith Supreme" design, please follow the link in my bio to check out more pictures of the model! And don’t forget to leave a comment in the LEGO IDEAS comment section to let the LEGO team know that you’d like to see this design advance to the voting stage. The crowd support phase for Wave 1 of Bricklink Designer Program 2028 is slowly but surely coming to an end. You only have 1 more day to vote for your favourite submissions and to leave comments on the Bricklink website. Thank you so much to everyone who voted for my projects, commented on my videos and shared my posts. I really appreciate all the feedback and support. During the last couple of days a lot of people commented and messaged me that my two BDP projects "Medieval Village" and "Medieval Toll Bridge" would look great next to each other. And while I did not design the "Medieval Toll Bridge" as an add-on to my "Medieval Village" the similar building style and the modularity of the models allows for a lot of cool and unqiue ways to combine the two models to a massive medieval diorama. If you like my "Medieval Toll Bridge" or any of my other models feel free to follow the links in my bio, vote for them and leave a comment in the Bricklink comment section. Every single vote increases the chances that my models will be turned real LEGO Bricklink sets! Thank you for your support! #bdp #bricklink #lego #bricklinkdesignerprogram #castle by @legobrickhammer
There are only 3 days left to vote for your favourite submissions to Wave 1 of the Bricklink Designer Program 2028. When designing my "Medieval Toll Bridge" I wanted to make sure that it is easy to display it with all types of different LEGO castle models. Therefore, I designed it in a way that the different roof styles match LEGO's Medieval Town Square, the Lion Knights' Castle and the new Horse Knight Castle. I also decided to choose a scale and a level of detail that work both with the smaller castle sets and larger models like the Medieval Blacksmith or the new Bricklink Alchemist's shop. As a result the model will never feel out of place regardless of what your castle collection currently looks like.
The crowd voting phase for Wave 1 of the Bricklink Designer Program 2028 is almost over. You only have 2 more days to vote for my new LEGO creations. Yesterday, I presented you a closer look at the near side of my "Medieval Toll Bridge". Today, I want to highlight the far side of the model, featuring the second half of the bridge and the bakery building. When designing the bridge I really wanted to include a water wheel as a way to further highlight the river between the two towers. After adding the grain field on one side of the river, including the mill on the other side was the logical next step. Finally, I decided to not only have a mill with a fully working mill stone that moves when the water wheel is turned, but include a full bakery with an oven and the baker's home. I also decided to include some tutor style building techniques on the second floor while the first floor is solid brick to protect the house from the water. To make sure the building was not too busy visually, I opted for a very simple roof style. This way there is a nice level of detail without making the model look too detailed.
My Bricklink Designer Program project "Medieval Village" consists of five unique structures: the saw mill, the blacksmith's shop, the fishing hut, the manor and a sign post. The submissions modularity allows for a vast number of different ways to display the village, which makes the "Medieval Village" the perfect addition to any LEGO castle collection.   The "Medieval Village" is back for Wave 1 of Bricklink Designer Program 2028! You can now follow the link in my bio to vote for the model and help to turn it into a real LEGO Bricklink set! Today, I want to highlight some of the interior features of my "Modern Log Cabin". From the outside the model combines traditional and modern architecture. On the inside the model is a mix of vibrant colours and cozy details. The ground floor contains the “Modern Log Cabin’s” main living spaces. The open kitchen has an island that also serves as a dining table, while the large bay window provides a small sitting area with a view of the outdoors. At the back of the cabin is the living room, with a blue couch, fireplace, TV and a rug that ties the whole room together. The staircase to the second floor is located behind the couch, with the bathroom underneath. A large floor-to-ceiling window front runs across the back of the cabin and fills the interior with natural light. The second floor is the grandparents’ bedroom, with a large bed and freestanding bathtub. A gallery overlooks the living room below, while the dormer opens onto a balcony with a telescope, making it the perfect spot for a little stargazing. The "Modern Log Cabin" is one of my brand new submissions to Wave 1 of Bricklink Designer Program 2028! Since I am mainly known for my castle themed models I wanted to challenge myself a bit for Wave 1 of Bricklink Designer Program 2028 and try something completely new. I wanted to create a model that feels both calm and cozy while also evoking a sense of adventure and wilderness. While being surrounded by beautiful nature, my "Modern Log Cabin" is a peaceful retreat and the perfect spot for a longer overdue family holiday. The model combines both traditional building techniques and modern architectural elements: One of the central features I wanted to include was the gallery and the large two story window at the back of the cabin which allow a lot of natural light to enter the cabin while also giving the people inside an amazing view at the surrounding nature. Through the large window front the cabin's owners can access the back balcony and the jetty below, connecting the cozy quiet of the cabin with the lake below and the majestic nature surrounding it. The "Modern Log Cabin" is one of my brand new submissions to Wave 1 of Bricklink Designer Program 2028! The fourth sub-model of my "Medieval Toll Bridge" is the bakery. I wanted to tie both sides of the model together by showing the complete process from growing grain to baking bread. Therefore I included not only the farm and the field on one side of the bridge but also a bakery which doubles as a water mill on the other side of the bridge. Since both sides of the river are needed to complete the process, the towns inhabitants are depending on the bridge to cross the stream. On the ground floor of the bakery building there is the big mill stone that is powered by the working water wheel. Next to it there is the oven used to bake the bread. On the first floor there is the baker's living quarters. The bakery also comes with a small crane to load goods onto the Horse Knights' boat. Like the rest of my "Medieval Toll Bridge" submission the bakery is fully modular. All the floors can be taken off to grant easy access to the interiors. The model can either be displayed connected to the ramp of the far side tower or can be displayed as a stand alone model. The "Medieval Toll Bridge" is one of my brand new submissions to Wave 1 of Bricklink Designer Program 2028! When designing the "Medieval Toll Bridge" I wanted the scene to feel as complete as possible: I wanted a river, a reason to cross the river and a way to cross the river. I also wanted to highlight the main upside of a bridge that can be raised: boats or even small ships can actually pass the bridge even if they have a tall mast. Therefore I designed a small sailboat. I would have loved to include a Viking style Kraken Knights boat, but unfortunately the Kraken Knights were not part of the Bricklink Designer Program 2028 Wave 1 parts palette. Instead I decided to design a small sailboat for the Horse Knights. That way they do not only control the bridge but can also make sure that noone crosses the river using a boat or raft. The Horse Knights can also use the boat to transport the baker's bread to other parts of the kingdom. As a result the "Medieval Toll Bridge" is not just a bridge but a complete medieval miniature world with lots of stories to tell. The "Medieval Toll Bridge" is one of my brand new submissions to Wave 1 of Bricklink Designer Program 2028!
