Hills on hills on hills
My original plan was to run sub two hours.
Not even a quarter mile in we attacked our first huge hill 😅. I immediately fell off pace.. discouraged. Mile 6 my stomach starting cramping horribly & I even shed a few tears & had to walk some. I walked until it felt better than got back on pace this happened a few times throughout the race. What kept me going on the back half of the race was hearing the voice recordings from my family esp my 11 year old niece who has the sweetest voice. I teared up 😆💕. Mile 8 omg that hill was insane coming out of piedmont park. When I finished I told myself I’d never run another half. I could barely walk. Then I woke up today and said I will train for another half bc I have to get sub 2 hours 🤣. I didn’t train well for this race I ran 2-3 times a week with average mileage being 3 miles & 8 and 10 sprinkled in here & there taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @leigha____
