For Allysen, saying goodbye to a dream to allow God to prepare her for something else was not an easy fight to surrender.

She's the founder of @lelorafoundation and she joined COYG for a 30 Minutes, Give or Take check in conversation about reproductive health, finding purpose, self care and creating a beautiful foundation that helps other women with education, resources and feel less alone in their own reporoductive health journeys.

30 Minutes, Give or Take is a Check On Your Girls conversation series built around one simple idea: What if the measure of our connection isn't how many people watch us, but how many people feel seen because of us?

We sit down with women, community voices, wellness professionals, and everyday people with something real to share. We talk about the milestones, the lessons, the heavy things we're carrying, and the health and wellness journeys we are all navigating.

Some conversations will make you laugh. Some might make you think. Some may hit a little closer to home.

But every single episode has a clear purpose: to remind someone watching or listening that they are not alone.

More than that, we want you to walk away with more than just encouragement, we want to hand you real inspiration and actionable information you can use to take that next step in your own life, health, and wellness journey.

Because sometimes, all it takes is 30 minutes, give or take, to make a difference.

Thank you Allysen, founder of @lelorafoundation for allowing me to pull up and check in with you! The Lelora Foundation is dedicated to providing education, resources and support for women facing reproductive challenges.

Dropping 🔜 This Thursday to be exact.

Stop brushing off what your body is trying to tell you about Fibroid & Pelvic Health 🛑

Too many of us leave the doctor’s office wishing we’d asked one more question or worse, just deciding to "deal with it." We aren't doing that anymore!

Grab a friend, your sister, your momma your daughter, even your son, significant other or husband and come pull up. The more we get educated, advocate, speak up, and share space, the less we have to figure out by ourselves. 🫶🏽

Let’s check in. Register free using the link in bio!

We talk about everything… except the things happening in our own bodies. 👀

The pain. The changes. The questions we’re sometimes too uncomfortable to ask.

Let’s change that.

Come check in with us, hear from doctors, advocates and women with real experiences. Bring your questions, join an interactive digital Check-In activity, and connect, conversate and check in with one another.

You’ll also leave with a digital resource guide to keep the conversation going.

And yes, the men in our lives are welcome too. ❤️ Because understanding women’s health shouldn’t be a women-only conversation.

Come as you are. Let’s talk.

Sunday, August 30 | 3PM

Eight years ago today, I underwent my first myomectomy that removed 17 fibroids.

At the time, I thought it was the beginning of the end of my journey with this condition.

I was wrong. I had another myomectomy in 2023.

Six months ago, I underwent a hysterectomy, joining the nearly 600,000 women in the United States who undergo one each year.

And yet…today isn’t just a reminder of what I’ve lost.

It’s a celebration of what God is growing from it.

Today, on what would have been my grandmother, Evelyn Lelora Purrier’s 91st birthday, we officially launched the @lelorafoundation.

Naming this foundation after my grandmother was one of the easiest decisions I’ve ever made. She embodied unwavering faith, resilience, compassion, and a love for others.

As I walked through my own reproductive health journey, I kept coming back to one belief: if my pain could help another woman feel less alone, then it couldn’t be wasted.

That’s the heart of Lelora.

Our mission is to increase awareness, education, support, and access to resources for women navigating reproductive health challenges through whole-person wellness because women deserve answers, compassionate care, and hope.

Launching today was intentional. It’s my way of honoring my journey, the woman whose name this foundation carries, while inviting others to join us in changing the future of women’s reproductive health.

If this mission resonates with you, I’d love for you to visit our website, share our story, and become part of this journey.

Happy Heavenly Birthday, Nana.
I hope to make you proud.

Love always,
Evelyn Lelora’s Granddaughter 🤍

I want to thank everyone for their kind words and encouragement since announcing the launch of the Lelora Foundation. To everyone who has shared our announcement, sent encouraging messages, prayed for us, joined our email list, or simply believed in this mission...thank you. Your support has meant more than I can put into words.

My interview with Amber Freeman on Bloom TV is just a glimpse into the journey that led me here and the vision we now have for women navigating reproductive health challenges. My prayer is that every woman who hears our story knows she is seen and valued, and that she never has to walk this road alone.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch the interview, I’d love for you to take a few minutes to hear the story behind the mission.

And if Lelora’s vision resonates with you, I invite you to join us. Learn more and help us build a future where we reimagine women’s reproductive health.

🌿 Learn more by visiting the link in my bio.

This is only the beginning.

There are seasons in life that change you.

The past year has been one of those seasons for me.

Behind every meeting, every event, every smile…I’ve also been navigating one of the most difficult chapters of my life. Learning how to lead while healing. Grieving losses I never imagined I’d have to carry. Wrestling with questions that didn’t always have answers. Trying to find joy while making space for sorrow.

It hasn’t been easy.

But if there’s one thing I’ve learned about God throughout my life, it’s this:

He never wastes our pain.

Some of the most meaningful things I’ve ever created were born from seasons I never would have chosen. Purpose isn’t something we discover after pain; it’s often forged within it.

That’s why I created The Lelora Foundation.

Lelora exists to ensure that women navigating reproductive health challenges have access to education, compassionate support, and a community that reminds them they are never alone. We want women to feel seen. To be heard. To have access to trusted resources. And to know that even in their hardest moments, there is hope, healing, and a sisterhood walking alongside them.

This foundation carries my grandmother’s name, but it also carries my heart.

It’s the manifestation of a promise I made to myself: that if I had to walk this road, I wouldn’t let the journey end with me. I would use it to make the path a little lighter for the women who come after me.

Today, I’m incredibly grateful to finally share this vision with all of you.

I recently had the privilege of sitting down with Amber Freeman on Bloom to talk about my journey. I hope you’ll tune in today on WFLA News Channel 8 at 2 PM to watch our conversation.

Then I’d love for you to visit our website, learn more about what we’re building, and discover how you can be part of this mission, whether by sharing our story, joining our community, volunteering, or making a gift.

I can’t change what this season has taken from me, but I can choose what grows from it.

I invite you into this journey with me. Welcome to The Lelora Foundation.
