Cosplaying has been a huge part of how I was shaped growing up, I’ve met so important people in my life through it and made so many good memories. It has also taught me how to come out of my shell, i’ve been an introvert all of my life and stepping into a character really makes me turn off all my insecurities and be my true self.

I have been cosplaying for 15+ years and it is such an important part of my life. Cosplay has brought me into such a wonderful community, and is responsible for the friends and family I am lucky enough to be surrounded by now. Cosplay has been an amazing medium to allow me to challenge myself, I love to craft and push myself to develop and master new skills and to practice old ones. Over the years, I feel I have learned so much that has allowed me to continue pushing myself to make bigger and more detailed and technically challenging cosplays!

Cosplay helps me let out my creativity in ways that I am unable to do at my adult job. It also pushes me outside of my comfort zone and I’ve met all sorts of wonderful people from cosplaying. It’s helped me build up my confidence and I’ve met some of my closest friends from our mutual love of dressing up as our favorite characters.

I'm really not a huge fan of larping in the cosplay community, especially at conventions. As someone who got into cosplay to connect with people over our mutual passions, it's honestly embarrassing to approach someone cosplaying someone from your favorite video game, anime, tv show, etc and they mention not consuming the media they are cosplaying from. I like talking to people about the media we're cosplaying. I get it if you're doing it for a cosplay group, a friend, or a significant other. I tend to avoid cosplaying from media I haven't consumed out in the open. I've really only larped once and I'd rather avoid doing it again. Might have to change that policy for photoshoots but still not doing it in public.

Here's some more Bayonetta pics!

The yearly Bayonetta rework was a success. I personally think she looks way better than last time! The wig is definitely an upgrade. It's actually very light quite comfortable. And the shoes are much more durable this time around. If anyone wants me to do a tutorial on my wig/shoes please let me know in the comments.
