At just 23, Andrew Golden is bringing legit Texas-style barbecue to Toronto—one pop-up at a time. It all started when his mom bought a smoker during lockdown. He began experimenting, posting his creations online, and suddenly, people were asking to place orders. Every weekend became a masterclass in the low-and-slow art of barbecue, with his mom—an incredible home cook—helping him perfect the craft. Now, himself, @chef.kristopher and @lemonade1113 are serving up some of the best brisket in the city, proving that passion (and a little family support) can take you anywhere.
