The Radiancy of Youth // Oil Pastel on Card, 29.7 x 42 cm

One of my final VCE Art Creative Practice pieces I have been yet to share, I finished this all the way back in early september! Hadn’t posted since technically you’re not allowed to post any vce works until after results are out & after you find out from galleries you’ve applied to etc but now that it’s over i can!

I am very happy with how it came out, my camera makes it look a lot grainier than it does in person but you get the gist. It is based off a photograph taken of me in 2011 :)

Also on another note, I have realised I haven’t posted here since July, I endeavour to be more active on here in the new year as I will no longer be bound by the structure and busy lifestyle school gave me.

the second part of my little photoshoot with my dear friend & model @liv_hinesy , this part aims to highlight the transition into adolescence & womanhood, discovering identity through fashion, makeup, hobbies etc, developing into your own individual identity and self, in this shoot we dressed in clothes we felt were more closely aligned with our style as young women rather than the chaos of our outfits as little girls. All pics shot on a Canon eos760d 📸

reliving and exploring childhood nostalgia through a vibrant dress up and play photoshoot with my dear friend / model @liv_hinesy and myself - we also explored the coming of age aspect of growing up which i can post in a part 2 ! This is a continuation of my childhood nostalgia / identity concept for art at school as I near the end of the final unit. These photos were all shot on a Canon eos760d :)

first time doing a portrait with oil pastels 🪔
.
ignore the white speckles, my camera is a pain and picks up on stuff that the naked eye can’t even see in real life😪 also ignore the fck ass job i did on the lips.
