WATCH ME.

I’ve been training with kettlebells since 2010. 13 years in the game… and I haven’t looked back. Let’s keep getting stronger.

Where are all my kettlebell lovers at?! 💪🏾❤️

As we grow in years and age, one thing holds true: life isn’t getting any easier for us.

There’s more of a chance we’ll be asked to do more. The demands and responsibilities in our life, careers, relationships will also grow—which is why our strength (aka Stress Tolerance) also must grow.

Any strong person knows that they feel their best when they’re chasing a goal or a new level—not when they’re sitting on their butts passively. Nobody thrives in a state of maintenance.

That’s why I keep challenging my fitness.

When I see growth in this area, it pushes me to go for more in other areas in my life. To be better, to handle more, and to maximize my life as much as possible.

As I approach year 34… this is the promise I make to myself because I believe I’m just entering my prime. 👏🏾

Can you feel my passion here? LOCKED IN.

This is type of energy I’m going into Year 34 with.

To paraphrase @prcheryl - “Whatever you do, if you can give 100% on and off the turf… there’s only 1 direction life can go. UP!⬆️ “

This is a really simple dish that my wife introduced me to, and I added my own flair to it. It’s a nice option to make during the week.

You can make this in the Instant Pot or on the stove.

Wash, peel, and chop all the vegetables. It doesn’t matter how fine you cut them, once they soften we’re going to blend them into a purée.

I seasoned them with the spices below, olive oil and then roasted them for 35-40 mins at 425 F Once they’re all roasted, throw everything in the Instant Pot. Add the chicken broth and lemon juice and cook on High Pressure for 5 mins. We want everything to cook and blend together in the next step.

I then finished the cooking process by adding the coconut milk and hand blending it all to a nice simple puree. If the mixture feels too thick, add more broth.

I served with chili crisps and roasted chickpeas.

Let me know if you try it!

Ingredients
* 1 bag of carrots
* 1 white onion
* 1 bell pepper
* 1 lemon
* 6-8 cloves of fresh garlic
* 1-2 knobs of fresh ginger
* 1 carton of chicken broth
* 1 can of coconut milk

Seasoning
* 1 Tbsp of red chili flakes
* 1 Tbsp of chili powder
* 1/2 Tbsp of cumin
* Salt and Pepper to taste

Fall Harvest Salad 🍁🍂🥗

I saw this salad on TikTok by @nutritionbykylie and made it for Thanksgiving last weekend - it was a hit!

Prep and wash your kale (along with all the other vegetables)

I chopped 1-2 sweet potatoes, 1 tray of Brussels sprouts (or sub broccoli), and 1 can of chickpeas in the oven. I seasoned all of that with olive oil, salt, and pepper. I added garlic powder and chilli powder to the chick peas.

Roast for 30 mins at 425 F while you make your dressing.

Massage the kale with the dressing, top with the roasted veggies and chick peas. I also added avocado and sunflower seeds. Finished by adding extra dressing. Mix and then eat it all up.

Let me know if you loved it as much as we did!

Dressing
Combine the following in a blender:
* 1 cup olive oil
* 1 cup shredded Parmesan
* 1/2 cup tahini
* 3 tbsp lemon juice
* 2 tsp Dijon mustard
* 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
* 4 cloves garlic
* Salt and pepper to taste.

Friday Night Dinner with $16 Chicken Tenders from Loblaw 🤘🏾

I stir fried some snap peas and mushrooms, tossed the fries in the air fryer and then whipped up a quick Korean-inspired sauce to dress up the tenders.

Under consumption core. Put our tax payer dollars to use and had some fun at the library.

The book that was borrowed has NOT been read yet but the intention is there 😪.

A reminder in an era of overconsumption it’s ok to keep things simple.
