Take your time. Create Space. Stack your joints.

Add a press between each step helps you slow down and focus. (While building bullet proof shoulders)

The Turkish get-up is a domino effect. Whatever happens in the first step carries into every step after it.

That’s why I’m so picky about the setup.

Where I see most students go wrong is arm placement. The goal is to stack the joints: shoulder over elbow.
If the arm is off, even a little, the joints don’t stack:

→ Too high (toward your head): the bell drifts over your face and the shoulder loses its strong position.

→ Too low (toward your hips): the bell pulls you off-center and your arm has to fight to hold it.

When the joints are stacked, your skeleton carries the bell and your muscles keep it steady. When they’re not, your muscles are doing both jobs. That’s when the hold feels shaky and the next domino falls: a rough roll, a wobbly bridge, a bell that drifts all the way up.

Nail the setup and the rest of the get-up gets easier.

Wanna start cleaning heavy monster bells? Here are three things you need to focus on:

1. is on the clean, you need to make sure that elbow is punching as hard as you can and get it underneath the bell. All power cleans need quick elbows.

2. Is make sure your hinge is far back as well as shooting the bell far back behind you.

3. Is imagine it is a slingshot, the further you pull the rubber band back, the more power you are going to generate.

Heavy kettlebell training is possible with the right form, technique, and progressive overload to it.

form is always going to change when we are pushing heavyweight and trying to increase our power. As long as the basic principles are in motion, then by all means go for it

Practice these 3 levels and watch your snatch technique improve 👏

Mastering your own skillset is the first step to becoming a great kettlebell coach - imagine trying to teach others when you’re not confident on the movement yourself.

I found breaking down the technique to 3 different levels helps you digest the phases of the snatch: hip drive, hip positioning & technique.

Try it out with your next client and watch how smooth their snatch becomes in time 🤝

YOUR SNATCH IS ONLY AS GOOD AS YOUR FOUNDATION. 🔔

The kettlebell snatch is a ballistic movement that demands power, timing, coordination, and control.

If you’re struggling with the overhead catch, bruised forearms, or an inefficient bell path, the answer isn’t always to keep practicing full snatches.

Sometimes, you need to break the movement down.

At @bell_mechanics , we teach the snatch through six progressions:

1️⃣ Single-Arm Deadlift — Build your hinge

2️⃣ Single-Arm Swing — Develop hip power

3️⃣ Gooseneck Swing — Bend the elbow to keep the bell close

4️⃣ Snatch Down — Build control and confidence

5️⃣ Snatch Up — Refine the path to overhead

6️⃣ Continuous Snatch — Put it all together

These progressions help you master the positions, timing, and bell path while developing powerful hip drive.

Your snatch is only as good as your foundation.

These are the 3 things we check first 👇
👉🏼 Your hinge. If you can’t hinge without compensating, you can’t tap into the power this lift needs.
👉🏼 Your overhead range. If it’s restricted, your body will find space somewhere else (and that’s not a good thing).
👉🏼 Your stance bias. If you favor your left or right side, stability and control get harder to access.

Fix the foundation, and the snatch follows.
