🚀 5 Things 2026 Taught Me as a Founder…so far 🚀

1. Build leaders, not dependencies.

The biggest shift in my business came when I stopped trying to be the solution to every problem and started developing people who could solve them.

2. Systems beat hustle.

Strong months aren’t built on working more hours. They’re built on repeatable systems, clear expectations, and consistent execution.

3. Culture is a growth strategy.

When people feel ownership, they make better decisions. A healthy culture doesn’t just improve morale…it improves results.

4. You have to make space to think.

Some of my best ideas came while I was away from the day-to-day. Founders need time to work on the business, not just in it.

5. Success is measured by what happens when you’re not in the room.

July was our strongest month of 2026 while I split my time between SD, LA, and the Central Valley. That’s not a sign that I’m needed less…it’s a sign we’re building something that can grow beyond me.

💥 None of this feels like the finish line. It feels like the foundation. The vision is getting clearer, the team is stronger, and I can’t wait to show you what’s next for our community.

Summer 2026 Teacher Training enrollment is officially open.

This is a 36-hour intensive designed for the rider who is ready to lead. 10 spots. 6 days. One cohort.

📅 June 20, 21, 27, 28 + July 11 & 12
🕛 12:00pm – 6:00pm each day

You’ll learn music theory, vocal performance, cueing, coaching, programming, playlist building, community creation, and how to market yourself as an instructor. Led by Lena and our Instructor Training team, who have trained 100+ instructors now teaching at top boutique studios around the world.

Only 10 people will be in this room.

taking chances ✨ @lululemon #ambassador

This year, my YET goal has been becoming a true founder.

When people picture a founder, they often picture someone carrying every bag into the studio, answering every text, solving every problem, working every weekend, and running on empty. Somewhere along the way, we started calling burnout a sign of success.

Seven years ago, that was me.

In the early days, I did whatever the business needed. I coached classes, signed up members, cleaned the studio, answered emails, built the website, trained every role, and wore more hats than I could count. That season was necessary. It taught me resilience, resourcefulness, and how every part of the business works.

But it was never meant to be permanent.

A founder’s job is to build something that becomes bigger than themselves. To build people. To build leaders. To build systems that create clarity, ownership, and consistency. To create an environment where others can do meaningful work and fulfill the mission.

Every month I feel myself moving closer to that goal and making the shift from running the day to day to leading the vision, strategy, and long term impact of VERVE.

Watching other people grow into leaders, take ownership, and grow our community has become my favorite part of the journey.

A huge thank you to my @thevervestudios leadership team, Andy, Maddie, Katherine, Sylvia, Hailey, our remarkably talented Instructor team, and our caring Member Success Leads and Reps. Thank you for helping shape the future of fitness and building real community in San Diego. And thank you to every member who has walked through our doors. You are the reason why we do what we do.

Thank you also to @lululemon for your support. This ambassadorship gives us another opportunity to help more people improve their health, elevate their performance, and find a community that changes their lives. I am excited to see our impact continue to grow in 2026 and beyond.

Saturday mornings like this forever please 🙏

I’ve been teaching on Saturday mornings for 13 years, and it’s become one of the most grounding practices of my life.

I believe two things shape so much of who we are and who we become: our environment + our habits.

As a founder and coach, I think about that constantly. What are we repeatedly showing up for? Who are we surrounding ourselves with? What kind of spaces are we creating?

That’s a big part of what I’m building with @thevervestudios — a place where showing up for yourself feels exciting, where wellness feels social, and where the people, energy and experiences around you make you want to keep coming back.

Today I got to teach, connect with our members, and watch our team bring an entire experience to life. I walked into the studio mid-event and could immediately feel the energy. Those are the moments where I get to look around and think, we built this. And that’s pretty damn cool.

Really proud of our team and grateful for the people who continue to show up and build this alongside me.

The higher you go, the more intentional you become about what goes with you. Better rooms. Higher standards. Stronger circles. It’s why I believe so much in the power of environment.
