I had the pleasure of working on the music for this beautifully shot 60-second TVC, featuring not one, but two distinct pieces of music. One of them was a fresh treatment of the beautiful Flower Duet, wonderfully performed by Kathy Tang and Leung Hey Na.

Thank you, David, Christine, and everyone involved for making this such a memorable project.

Had a lot of fun working with the team at Hungry Digital on the music for this Lee Kum Kee campaign.

The tricky part was the structure. The video starts with no music, then quickly builds into a busy food prep section, pauses for the tasting moment, moves into the enjoyment part, and finally introduces the app - all in just 30 seconds.

Because there is quite a bit of voice-over, the music had to keep the energy up without getting in the way. It also had to follow the action closely, so every change in the music feels natural with what is happening on screen.

The funk pop track has a playful rhythm guitar, brass accents, and a bright, cheerful groove. I especially enjoyed arranging the guitar parts and bringing in the brass near the end to give the final section more lift and character.

Beyond the Horizon_covered by AI Leonardo x Lova】

Music and Lyrics by Leonard To
Video created with Sora2

On April 6, 2026, the crew of Artemis II witnessed a solar eclipse that lasted for 57 minutes. Little did they know, flashes were already flickering across the dark side of the Moon….

________________________________________
Your voice fades like static in deep space
I trace the orbit of your name
Every second’s just a star I chase
But time won’t bend—it stays the same

I still sleep with your texts unread
Like they’re signals from a planet dead
You promised me a gravity
But you let go so easily

We’re interstellar—
Too far, too late
Love lost in a time delay
I reach across the years and light
But you burn out every night
We’re interstellar—
No way back
Just echoes in the zodiac
You were here, but not for long
Now I’m a ghost in your old song

You left like comets in reverse
A flash, then vanished from the Earth
I replay our loops in holograms
But they glitch when I touch your hands

What if time’s a blackhole lie?
Just folds and edits in the sky
If you remember me at all
It’s in a universe that’s long gone

We’re interstellar—
Too far, too late
Love lost in a time delay
I reach across the years and light
But you burn out every night
We’re interstellar—
No way back
Just echoes in the zodiac
You were here, but not for long
Now I’m a ghost in your old song

No sound in space, just heartbeats missed
You never left—I just ceased to exist by @leonardto

This is the acoustic version of the same song.
Thank you, Lova, for contributing her voice.
Thank you to those who inspired it.
And thank you for listening.

On 2013.12.24, I wrote a song I never really shared.
The original take is messy—imperfect, unfiltered, honest.

Recently I remade it by keeping the same vocal recording and building a guitar arrangement around it.

I always assumed I’d eventually put lyrics on it, but every line felt like it got in the way.

So I left it wordless. It already says what it needs to say. by @leonardto

Working alongside the renowned director David Tsui reminded me that music isn’t just about what you play, but what you leave unplayed. The value of restraint - of letting silence and breath carry as much weight as the notes themselves.

It was also a privilege to collaborate with acclaimed pianist Kayoko Sugiura. Her sensitivity at the piano turned simple phrases into something alive, full of warmth and nuance.

At its core, this was a HUMAN story — crafted with care and intention. I’m grateful to have played a small part in the legacy of Moviola: a tradition of cinematic storytelling shaped by feeling, and subtle emotions.

I’m thrilled to share my cover of the Nina Simone classic, “My Baby Just Cares For Me,” created for a new HLB commercial. It was an honor to collaborate once again with the legendary director David Tsui.

This project was a unique creative experience—a commercial where the music carries the narrative, undisturbed by dialogue. I am also deeply grateful to @jillvidal (衛詩) for delivering such a brilliant vocal performance on incredibly short notice.

For those in Singapore and Malaysia, keep an eye out for it on your screens!

Music created for Knorr’s professional food service video.

Fast-paced, confident, and chef-focused, the music is designed to match the rhythm of a busy professional kitchen while leaving just the right amount of space for the voice-over and product message.

Always fun finding the balance between energy and storytelling.
