The podium moment from Britains Strongest Master 2025 🏆 This post is all about the thank yous. 💐

To my left in third place is @rich_turrell who I met for the first time this weekend such a nice guy, very friendly with a big future in strongman. Rich pushed me in every event on the day and pipped me in at least a couple. Worthy of the podium 💪🏼

To my right @nickcoxcoaching who I competed alongside at Scotland’s Strongest Master last month, we have so much in common and it was great to get to know him this weekend. Huge potential in the sport, fairly new to strongman but by no means new to sport. 🏉 Testament to his coach @am_strength_

Unexpectedly having @stuartmurray29 there on the day had a grounding affect, the Godfather of Scottish Strongman, a familiar face and a comforting presence.
It was an honour to have Stuart hand me the trophy, he treats his Scottish competitors like a proud father with a herd of sons, even more so when him and Jeanette came my rescue after breaking down on the way home on Sunday night! 🛟⛑️

My judge on the day @robframpton73_ meant there was no questioning my place on the podium. I grew up watching Rob competing at a world class level so it was amazing to have him judge me on the day and share kind words at the end when he gave me my prizes.

Excellent commentary on the day from @blgstrength a lot of kind words and some very funny moments we managed to capture and clip - shout out to @hopskipfly.socials clipping as much as she could on the day whilst looking after our son.

Thanks to @adiemonks and @unbreakable_promotions for the invite and the opportunity to be experiencing an @officialstrongman_ event at @fitxpo_uk 💥

Head to toe @cerberus_strength and great podium prizes from them. 💪🏼

New @factoryweightsuk wrist straps seen me right during overhead 🪵 and @scienceinsport carb gels were a life saver fuelling me on the day.

Very short prep for this comp with my new coach @last_rep_coaching and looking forward to seeing what we can bring to 2026. 🫱🏽‍🫲🏼 taken in Block 9 Gym by @leonault5

Eye contact for me can be difficult.

But the result of none in a competition enviroment means a disconnect with your judges and spotters one is there to provide you with all the points you are capable of achieving within the rules and the other is there to guide you where possible and keep you and the spectators safe.

Ive missed reps in multiple events in a single comp because of my problems with eye contact nothing is unchangeable if its in the way of something you want...

Had I not been dialled into @gregoredmunds on the viking I may have wasted energy on more reps that didn count or lost reps by not pausing enough on lockout.

As for @dave_mac19 I was just desperately seeking approval for finishing it, I think

Many Thanks to all the judges @scotlandsstrongestman 2026

Appreciate all of your hard work and careful dilegence by @leonault5

SCOTLANDS STRONGEST MAN 2026

MY FINAL FINAL

Another experience beyond my expectations

You can prepare your body and mind for challenges that you expect but there will always be challenges you dont expect and how you react for me under those situations is where a real mindset steps in.

MY POST COMP EVALUATION is one purely of myself and I am mostly, really very pleased with what I achieved on saturday. Placing didn reflect that as well as I would have liked but its not majorly inportant to me losing points to small mistakes and guys much much more capable on the day.

@stuartmurray29 (and Jeanette) ran an excellent show as always. The venue looked better than ever and everything went v smoothly more space and kit to warm up on that ever.

Kept well informed with points and running order. Clear rules at the outset on events. Only the best judges and loaders/helpers

The live stream, scoring, kind words from commentators, prize giving

I hope ive not missed anything.

Im not finished with strongman I never will be,
I owe it far to much and I can never replace what its given me.

One more comp of the year and I have some fun things to tick off starting 2027

LIFE IS ABOUT PEOPLE...

DONT FORGET IT.

Whatever you are pursueing, whatever standard you have for yourself that noone else sees that you will literally never fully achieve.
Dont let constantly looking inward make you forget whats in front of you.

We are nothing without other people.

Thanks to everyone thats shown me support over the years every message every word every bit of interest shown. People will never know what it means to me. Pursuit of strength can be lonely.

It can be hard when people around you dont know what it means to you and why.

Comparison is the thief of joy. Strive to be better be hungry but not to the detriment of others around you. Dont burn bridges for points.

Truck Pull was one event Leon was worried about after rupturing his Achilles tendon in truck push a few years ago. An injury that means the end of the road for many, Leon’s love of strongman and determination to recover makes today’s truck pull a full circle moment in his Scotland’s Strongest Man story. 🚛 taken in SEC Centre by @leonault5
