Honestly words really don’t do anything to cover how it felt seeing the big man through a @scotlandsstrongestman final. Big man’s been my friend for a long time and genuinely a pleasure to prep for the final. Steady ish day all over, some easy points leaked on small things. However truck pull 2 years post Achilles rehab, stone gauntlet blitzed and massive improvements on yoke. an absolute stalwart and absolutely someone to look upto in Scottish strongman. Also tremendous so see so many @last_rep_coaching clients out to support the big man on the day.

Final Event of Scotlands Strongest Man 2026, always a crowd pleaser and a typical Strongman movement Atlas Stones 🌎 @atlasendurance_

After a full day of activity Leon loaded
120kg ✅ 140kg ✅ 160kg ✅ had a wrestle with the 180kg before bowing out smiling and placing 22nd overall as the oldest athlete on the show floor today 👨‍🦰

Thank you @scotlandsstrongestman and @stuartmurray29 for making this Scottish sport what it is today 🌟 💪 💥

Truck Pull was one event Leon was worried about after rupturing his Achilles tendon in truck push a few years ago. An injury that means the end of the road for many, Leon’s love of strongman and determination to recover makes today’s truck pull a full circle moment in his Scotland’s Strongest Man story. 🚛

Not only does the winner claim there national title! Which grants them a spot in @giantslivestrongman Britain's strongest man 2027!
But they will also get a spot for next month in the world tour finals 🫡 17/10/26

Took far too long to find photo's of all the athletes 🤣 but it was made a little easier courtesy of @thefullsterkurphotographer and @rachelpark2911 work over on the @strongmanarchives so thank you both 🙏🏼

🏋️ OVERHEAD WORKSHOP | TICKETS NOW AVAILABLE

Saturday 7th November | 11am–2pm
📍 Last Rep Gym

We’re putting on a 3-hour hands-on overhead workshop designed for anyone looking to improve their overhead performance, whether you’re completely new to the events or already competing.

I’ll be joined by Leon Paterson, someone who has spent a very long time in the sport, competing at the highest level and picking up a few tricks along the way. 👀

Scotlands strongest master 2025 🥇
Britain’s strongest master 2025 🥇

WHAT WE’LL COVER:

🔹 Warm-up protocols
How to prepare your body properly before pressing overhead.

🔹 Technique breakdown
Breaking down the key positions, movements and techniques that make overhead events more efficient.

🔹 Practical application
Less standing around listening, more getting your hands on the equipment and putting it into practice.

🔹 Mobility session with Leon
Leon will take you through a dedicated mobility session and share some of the methods and “secrets from the ages” that have helped him perform.

This is about learning, moving better and getting stronger overhead, regardless of your current ability.

💷 £10 for Last Rep Gym members & coaching clients
💷 £20 for everyone else

Spaces will be limited, so if you want to get involved, grab your ticket and come learn from two coaches who have spent years under the log and above the head.

Saturday 7th November. 11am–2pm.
Last Rep Gym.

Built by athletes. Made for everyone. 🏋️‍♂️🔥
