Our beloved Leonor came to the U.S. from Mexico with a big dream — to own her own business. With hard work and determination, she pushed through many struggles and sacrifices. After years of effort, she finally opened her restaurant, which has now been serving the community for 40 years. Her story is one of strength, courage, and never giving up.

Plain and simple. Our people have fought, built and sacrificed a lot to make this country a better place. From every shade to every creed to every struggle. Never forget that love and unity is our strength. VIVA LA RAZA and all those who have contributed to this world, the future is built by us. As a three-generation, immigrant-founded, women-owned restaurant, we honor the courage and resilience of those who built this community. We raise our voices for the rights of our families and future generations.

If you’ve stepped into Leonor’s lately, you’ve likely felt the energy Elizabeth brings to every table. She’s a beautiful mix of a free spirit and a powerhouse professional. The kind of woman who works tirelessly but never loses her sense of fun. 💃🦾

But for Elizabeth, this is more than just a business; it’s a heartbeat. By stepping into her mother’s shoes, she isn’t just running a restaurant, she’s carrying forward a dream. She continues a legacy of strong women, leading with the same love, respect, and honor that this community was built on. 🥂❤️

Come by, say hi, and experience the magic Elizabeth is stirring up. We aren’t just serving meals; we’re keeping a legacy alive, one plate at a time. 🍛✨

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved owner, mother, and grandmother, Leonor Garcia. Leonor wasn’t just the heart of our business — she was our business. She poured her love, strength, and dedication into every part of it. Her passion for what she built was matched only by the joy she found in serving each and every one of you.

My Grandma worked tirelessly to create a place that felt like home, where her customers were treated like family. She remembered your stories, your favorites, your laughs — and she cared deeply. The connections she made here were what she cherished most.

To our dear customers, we are truly sorry for your loss as well. You were such a big part of her happiness, and we know many of you loved her just as much as we did. We warmly welcome you to join us in honoring her life and legacy:

Thank you for being part of her beautiful journey. She will be missed beyond words.
