{{{UPDATED ADDRESS}}} previous flyer needed an address update for greater accuracy I have had the great honour to curate NYC Culture Club’s first show in their incredible new space in Port Authority Terminal! (yes the bus terminal) Opening reception is this Friday June 12th (6-8pm) would love to see there. The group show is titled “Membrane”. Membrane is a container of life and potential. It is a permeable zone of exchange where what is and what can be is most alive. This show brings together twelve artists whose work inhabits the charged space between states: between stillness and motion, object and subject, arrival and departure, image and matter, threat and beauty, presence and disappearance. They occupy the threshold itself - the held moment within transformation, where meaning is most unstable and most dense. They do not resolve. They contain. Membrane is staged in a fitting space that has always existed as a passage in-between. John Aslanidis { @sonictiger } Mario de la Ossa { @de.la.ossa } Michael Candy { @mcandy_ } Joseph J Greer { @the_davinci_coat } Lisa Giordano { @lisaegiordano } Ara Hao { @ara.persimmon } Nabilah Nordin { @nabnordin } Nick Modrzewski { @nickmodrzewski } Moksha Richards { @moksha.richards } Justin Rui Han { @justinrhan } Andy H Wei { @andyh.wei } Leon Zhan { @leonzhan } This is my curatorial debut and would be happy to give you a walkthrough if you’re not able to make the opening. My sincere gratitude to Clayton and Parker for this opportunity! Hope you enjoy my poster design, it’s a sneak peak of Joseph’s 6-foot work by @leonzhan

retrospective posting my second last session at the met (april 9th)…. focused on Velasquez’s glorious nose. spent most my time on the palette adjusting to hit the value and temperature as best I can. Supposedly he used a warm black and a cool black. Shoutout Dorota for snapping these pics while my phone was out of storage taken in The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York by @leonzhan
