Hey #LLPFam! For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Tayla (she/they), the creator of @LesbianLovePride_. I wanted to take a couple minutes to re-introduce myself, and share a little about who I am and why I started this page many years ago. In the video I share more about that journey, but to put it simply: I started this page to create the representation I wished I’d seen, of the love and individuality of lesbian + queer women. I love getting to feature y’all on here and tell some of your stories, and moving forward, y’all will get to hear parts of mine too.

Lavon and Lavonn: A love that feels aligned 💕

Sharing the same name – with slightly different spellings – is only the beginning of what this beautiful couple discovered they had in common. Here’s how they describe finding each other:

We met on a lesbian dating app. Neither of us was looking for long distance, we were just looking for something real, raw, and authentic.

We found each other and somehow discovered we share the same middle name (Lavon/Lavonn), love the water, love adventure, and have so many commonalities. A year later, it still feels like we found each other on purpose, with purpose. We never planned this love. But we’re pretty sure we found our forever and greatest love!

We were really nervous about starting couples therapy and opening up the hard conversations that a lot of people avoid.

But we both decided that the only way to make real genuine growth from where we were was the confront these harder topics head on and together, people have mixed opinions on what starting couples therapy means, a lot of people assume that you only go to couples therapy when your relationships on it’s last legs but really it’s the ultimate commitment for two people who want to grow together when life has thrown challenges that would otherwise drive them apart.

We are learning how to work with each others nervous systems, this may take time but we are here for the journey, nothing worth having comes easy.

The softest kind of power is love that feels safe 🫂

Meet Maddie & Peggy 🥰 I asked them to share something special about their relationship, and I think their story is best told in their own words:

We will be together for 6 years coming up on September 18! We got engaged about a year ago (October & November) with our wedding date planned April 29, 2028. We also went to elementary school together but didn’t know each other back then so that was fun to learn in the beginning of our relationship 🤭

Here’s to nearly six years together and everything still to come for Maddie & Peggy 🫶🏾
