As our term comes to a close, we can’t help but look back at some of the wonderful moments we’ve shared—the celebrations, the laughter, the friendships, and the joy of welcoming new Dames into our chapter.

Think back to your own induction. There were Dames there to welcome you, celebrate you and make you feel part of something special.

Now it’s our turn to do the same for our newest members.

And to our wonderful cheerleaders—the familiar faces who show up again and again—thank you. Your support means more than you know, and we look forward to celebrating with you, too.

Still basking in the sweetness and joy of our Heritage Dinner. The finale of so many of the pastry chefs who brought their cakes to honor Rose Levy Beranbaum was glorious! Special thanks to @fantes9thstreet for sponsoring and the many Dames who helped organize and produce our desserts. Shout out to pastry chef @katehoneyman who brought her cakes and @walnuthillcollege pastry students to help cut hundreds of cake tastes, to @compulsivebaker (Rachel Sherman) for coordinating it all, Leslie McLaughlin from @franklinfountain for rallying the troops, and Chef/teacher Kelli Payne for leading the massive cake slicing! Who can forget Franklin Fountain’s Honey Comb ice cream or the nectarine intermezzo from Gab Cordone from the @thebentspoon . Thanks to @burlapandbarrel for their chef gifts. (Their cinnamon is the best!) we have so much gratitude for all the talent shared and for the celebration of our honorees, @realbakingwithrose, @canalhouse founders, Melissa Hamilton and Christopher Hirsheimer and @micheleleff12 from @12stcatering

Pastry Chef Bonnie Sarano Noll sent her Apple Cake to the Fantes cake table for Rose Levy Beranbaum at our Heritage Dinner. The extra cool part was not only was it delicious but one of the only dairy free cakes there. You can order it for the holidays. Thank you for your generosity, Bonnie!

There’s something special about being in a room where women in food and hospitality are celebrated.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of attending the Les Dames d’Escoffier Heritage Dinner at the beautiful Glen Foerd Mansion, an evening dedicated to honoring excellence, legacy and the people helping shape the culinary world.

For 10 years, the Heritage Dinner has celebrated recipients of the annual Outstanding in Her Field Award, and this year’s esteemed honorees were Rose Levy Beranbaum, Melissa Hamilton, Christopher Hirsheimer and Michele Leff.

We started with cocktails before sitting down to a family-style dinner featuring dishes prepared by talented area chefs, each inspired by the evening’s honorees. I love an experience where the food tells a story.

Technically, my field is in hospitality, so this was beyond memorable.

Good food. Incredible talent. Women supporting women. And a beautiful reminder that when we celebrate those who paved the way, we also make room for the women coming next.

We love our @lesdamesphl who support and honor women in the food industry. Their annual gala raised money for scholarships to support the next generation. We were excited to support the cake table in honor and appreciation of the amazing @realbakingwithrose, a beautiful night with delicious food. Congratulations to all of the honorees. A gorgeous afternoon spent with @lesdamesphl for their Annual Heritage Dinner celebrating women in the food & bev industry! 🥂✨ Over 20 local chefs came together for a curated dinner experience. Such a beautiful evening at the historic Glen Foerd Mansion, which honestly made the perfect setting for the night. We were there celebrating this year’s Outstanding in Her Field honorees, starting with cocktails and followed by a family-style dinner with dishes prepared by local chefs and inspired by each honoree.

Even better, the dinner supports Les Dames d’Escoffier Philadelphia’s mission to empower and champion women in the food and hospitality industry. 🤍

Chocolatier Christopher Curtin is doing an @eclatchocolate cart next to the Fantes Cake Table in honor of Rose Levy Beranbaum. Pastry Chefs are baking cakes as a tribute to Rose, one of our Heritage Dinner honorees. Eclat June Bugs are one of our favorites! To finish, @franklinfountains is sending their award winning ice cream. Our Heritage Dinner will be filled with beautiful desserts, delicious family style platters, and mostly importantly so much community coming together to honor Rose, Melissa Hamilton, Christopher Hirsheimer, and Michele Leff. Chef Rachel Klein is cooking Whipped Corn Ricotta w/ baby local Gem Lettuce, roasted Sweet Potatoes, toasted Hazelnuts, and a Citrus-Dill dressing for our Heritage Dinner. If you have had a hard time snagging a reservation from @missrachelspantry come to this dinner to taste her food. So many chefs using their talents to benefit Les Dames mission.
