Hello to everyone reading this. My name is lesedi Goge, I'm from Pietermaritzburg, KZN.
I'm a 19-year-old who has been looking to get into university for next year’s studies. For the past year I have tried my best to get into an institution of higher education, unfortunately due to many TERTIARY institutions being very demanding on finances my single mother cannot afford to pay for 3 of her teenagers and unfortunately would cause my mom even more strain for funds. we have tried applying for funding like sports scholarships but unfortunately, they have failed twice as I am not always quite what they are looking for. I have failed many times applying for financial aid. As an unfortunate result, financial and personal reasons that had affected my family members and me has now left me to sit out for 2021. Our financial position has been so bad it has forced us to make many cutbacks such as my mother considering selling her car for us to get by, we have even had to leave our house as she could not afford to stay in it either. we are however staying with close family members who have been helping us in until everything has been sorted out financially. Since I am not studying this year, I have taken the opportunity to upgrade my matric results as a way to keep my mind alive and improve on my matric results. going to university is something that is very important to me. I am looking to study one of my many passions sport sciences at any of the local universities in KZN or any others in South Africa for 2022. At a time like this any form help and donation would be greatly appreciated and accepted and would mean the absolute world to me to doing something I am passionate about. with the fund’s I would be given the opportunity to learn what I am very invested and hungry for. With your help you can get me closer to my goal of getting a qualification and making my dreams come true. FULL STORY ON WEBSITE. PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO SHARE ❤️ taken in South Africa by @lesedi.hp

Graduation. April 8 2025. Bachelor of Health Sciences with Sports Coaching and Human Movement Science. Next, Honours in Biokinetics

To think this all started on the 30th of June 2021 from a fundraiser to get myself to study. Thank you for making my dreams come true. I owe it all to you people. Thank you Jesus for making this dream of mine a reality. If you told me that I’d have a degree, be surrounded by an amazing group of friends I get to call family from Potchefstroom, have family that support me and on top of that… doing my honours, I’d say you’re crazy. What a crazy 4 years it’s been, I cannot wait for the next 4 years and the years to follow. Being in a place like this has changed my life forever and I will never forget the experiences I’ve had, both good and bad. Potch, “jy was amazing” and I really hope to come back and stay longer some day. Until then, it’s time to tackle honours, and maybe plan for masters… who knows 🤣.

Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart, you helped make this a reality❤️

Officially a 2-time graduate 🎓🎓

Firstly, I want to thank my Heavenly Father for blessing me with the incredible opportunity to study what I’ve been passionate about for so long.

I also want to thank my mother, my brothers, and my family for backing me every step of the way over the past four years. Thank you to all my amazing friends who’ve been on this journey with me since day one (special shoutout to my Potch Fighters ❤️🥊). And a massive thank you to all the donors who helped me reach this incredible milestone. I couldn’t have done it without any of you!

To everyone who believed in me… and even those who didn’t, thank you. The good times and the difficult ones have all played a part in shaping the person I am today and have only strengthened my determination.

After years of chasing this dream, I’m finally getting to do what I love most, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

I can’t wait to show you and the world what’s next. 🇿🇦 #conqueredtheedge #witsie4life taken in Wits - University of the Witwatersrand by @lesedi.hp
