Me in a nutshell.. On my birthday.

It was deeply moving, digging up memories from #erbil #dubai and #beirut .. Grateful for all the lessons. Grateful for all the blessings. Grateful for all the people, those who stayed, those who left and those who changed.

Hi, I’m M, the one behind the logo.
My name is Mayssa, and today is my birthday.
I wanted this video to be a reminder that I finally started this page after postponing it for years, and that no matter what happens, I can still do something I love. I’m originally from Yafa #palestine , born and raised in Lebanon. I love winter, traveling, nature, and animals. I love simplicity and quiet, and I love working ; but only when I truly enjoy what I’m doing. I don’t like pretentiousness, noise, overthinking things, or toxic positivity. Like everyone else, I carry my share of pain. I created this page for people who need to talk, and for people who need to be heard. Because at the end of the day, we’re human, and life is not what we see online, it’s what we live every day. I called it LFT because we’re all on the same journey, just at different stations. Seeing who we might become even in small ways helps us move. This page was delayed for years because of work and war, but I’m in a healing phase now, and I’m happy I finally started sharing my voice, even if only one person listens. You can share your story through the link in my bio.

You can drop your questions in the comments, if any 🤎

People who have never met each other celebrate together. Borders fade. Differences become quieter. And millions discover that belonging can sometimes arrive wearing a different flag.

Perhaps that is why moments like these stay with us long after the final whistle. Not because we remember the score, but because we remember how it felt to be part of something larger than ourselves.

Tonight, Morocco reminds us that sometimes, one story is enough to make millions feel at home.

Part 2 of Felfol's story. 💙

If you missed Part 1, Felfol is a little handmade knitted elephant my friend made while she was displaced from South Lebanon. Before the war, she made candles. After losing the comfort of home, she started creating small handmade knitted animals while waiting for the day she could return.

She gave me Felfol. 🐘

What began as a thoughtful gift slowly became a way to talk about much bigger things, life, war, humanity..and more.

This time, Felfol watched a FIFA match with me, Egypt and Argentina.

Not because football is the story.

But because, even in moments when the world seems focused elsewhere, some stories refuse to disappear.

I taught Felfol that history has not always been fair. That some people have spent generations trying to erase Palestine's story. Yet somehow, at every major event, the Palestinian flag rises again. In a stadium. On a street. In someone's voice. In someone's heart.

Maybe we can't change governments overnight.

But we can choose not to become indifferent or silent.

Because every time we speak about those who are oppressed, we make it a little harder for their stories to be erased.

Sometimes, resistance begins with simply refusing to forget.

💙 Felfol's story continues.

Thank you @knitelle.leb

Champions of our hearts. Today was not the ending we hoped for, but it does not erase the pride, the fight, or the joy you gave millions. Egypt stands tall.
Thank you captain Housam Hassan ❤️🇪🇬

Whether you agree with the Iranian government or not, one thing is difficult to ignore: millions of Iranians chose to take part in honoring their leader while their country was under immense pressure. That kind of turnout doesn't happen without a deep sense of national identity and belonging. Iran has preserved a strong state, invested in education, science, culture, and infrastructure, maintained religious communities that have existed there for centuries, and for decades has positioned itself as one of the region's most vocal supporters of the Palestinian cause. These are realities that help explain why many Iranians feel loyalty to their country and its leadership, even if others disagree with its politics.

At the same time, the contrast in the United States is striking. While Washington speaks of bringing freedom or saving other nations, many Americans themselves appear increasingly disillusioned with endless foreign interventions and policies that they feel do not reflect their interests or values. The relatively modest turnout at the official July 4 celebration, compared with the immense crowds seen in Iran, can be read by some as a reminder that governments and their people are not always in sync. Many Americans have shown empathy for Palestinians and other people affected by war, often in ways that differ from their government's foreign policy.
