I honestly can't believe this page was created one year ago! I still remember talking to my friend Nádia about the idea and only thinking that I was too late to join in on the fun and that no one would care!! Thank God she made me change my mind!

This has been one of the most amazing and rewarding experiences of my life, and I've had the pleasure of meeting some of my favorite people!

There are so many special people I want to thank for cheering me on and inspiring me with so much talent and creativity… This is hands down the best community on the internet, and I'll gladly die on this hill if I have to!

Since I can't name them one by one, here is a shortened version…
• To my friends, thank you for the support and encouragement day in and day out, this wouldn't be the same without you 🫶🏼
• To the followers, thank you for sticking around and being so, so nice! You have no idea how much it means that you decide to join in on this journey 🥹
• To the authors, thank you for changing our lives for the better and for creating worlds and characters that bring us so much joy 🥰

I hope I get to share many more reviews, quotes, aesthetics, bookmail, reels, and much more!! But most of all, I really hope I get a chance to meet you all someday!!! 💕

Here’s to many more years 🥂

ps: thanks for the inspiration for the video, @fromthelibraryofjoana ☺️

The Pantone Birth Chart Challenge 🎨✨

I know this trend usually goes a certain way, but I wanted to put my own spin on it—using the color palette constraints to highlight books, tropes, and authors that feel like a piece of me.

Finding exact shade matches definitely narrowed down the options, but I am so happy with how this selection came together!

Swipe for a look behind the colors and books 📚

💬 Have you read any of these? What book would match your Pantone shade palette?

🗝️ Pantone Book Challenge | Romance Books | Pretty Rings & Broken Things | Love Arranged | Beg, Borrow, or Steal | Love & Other Words | Book Recommendations

🔖 #bookstagram #bookrecs #romancereads #bookcommunity #romanceauthorslife

DARK SLATE (Pantone 19-0303) 🖤

• The Astrology & Theme: Represents grounding, resilience, and quiet strength. In this chart, it stands as The Anchor Book—an all-time 5-star favorite that grounds my reading identity.

• The Book Pick: Pretty Rings & Broken Things by Kat Singleton. Kat is an absolute autobuy author for me, and I am downright obsessed with her writing. Her spice scenes are unreal, her characters are so deeply written, and this book (honestly, the entire series!) holds such a special place in my heart. Archer and Winnie forever ♾️

PLACID BLUE (Pantone 15-3920) 🦋

• The Astrology & Theme: A color tied to clarity, calm, and mental space. It marks The Mind Reset—a recent hit that cleanses the palate and resets your reading flow.

• The Book Pick: Love Arranged by Lauren Asher. Okay, full transparency: Love Arranged isn’t a super “recent” hit since I read it almost a year ago, and this color did NOT help make matching easy! Coming off the high of Love Unwritten, the bar was set impossibly high. Did it beat it? No. Was it still a great read by one of my all-time favorite authors? Absolutely. Lauren Asher never fails to make me swoon over fictional men 🩵

TANGERINE TANGO (Pantone 17-1463) 🍊

• The Astrology & Theme: Packed with energy, drive, and anticipation. It embodies The Next Spark—a high-priority physical TBR book that you can’t wait to dive into.

• The Book Pick: Beg, Borrow, or Steal by Sarah Adams. I read When in Rome and Pract by @letsbooktalk

Audiobooks ARE real reading, and honestly? I’m completely obsessed! 🎧✨

Listening to audiobooks is easily the most practical way to read and turn solo car rides, house chores, or walking my dog into something so much more fun.

My absolute favorite way to consume stories is immersive reading (listening while reading along) — it truly brings the characters to life and makes me feel entirely part of that world.

Certain narrators just have the superpower to elevate a book. For Part 1 of this series, here are the incredible voices behind some of my favorite listening experiences:
⇢ Karissa Vacker: The Savor It audiobook literally altered my brain chemistry! She jumped straight to my top list and I just want to listen to everything she narrates.
⇢ Megan Wicks: I can’t wait to continue the series with Left of Forever and have her amazing voice take me right back to Spunes, OR.
⇢ Vanessa Edwin: She is so absurdly talented she could literally read a grocery list and make it sound like an absolute masterpiece.
⇢ Jason Clarke: I just started In Her Own League yesterday, and there’s truly nothing better than listening to Jason Clarke at any time of day. (Also counting down the minutes to start Across the Vanishing Sky because I need Dex in my life!).
⇢ Sebastian York: Things We Left Behind was my very first audiobook experience, and I loved it so much that I knew there was no going back. He was my introduction to this world, and I still adore everything he does!
⇢ Teddy Hamilton: Both In the Likely Event and When Ashes Fall made me cry so hard I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover... Teddy just has that exact effect on me!

💬 Are you an audiobook lover too? Who is your all-time favorite narrator?

“Love shows up.” 💌🥹

I sat on this book for almost three years, and my regret is IMMEASURABLE. If I could rate Yours Truly 100 stars, I would! I literally cried happy tears, and I can’t remember the last time a book had me in such a chokehold.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

MY THOUGHTS: Jacob and Briana’s story is genuinely everything a romance should be. The way they slowly learned each other, built trust through handwritten letters, and healed each other’s past wounds made me swoon beyond belief.
Jacob is the ultimate green flag hero, and seeing Briana finally get the love and effort she deserved was so cathartic. Add in the incredible mental health representation, Lieutenant Dan (dogs never miss!), supportive families, and an emotional kidney donor subplot that had me sobbing... it was pure perfection.
Yes, there was a miscommunication conflict, but honestly? It felt so human. Sometimes our insecurities get the better of us, and after everything Abby built, I’d forgive this book anything!
(P.S. I’ve already read Just for the Summer too... review coming very soon! 🤫)

💬 Have you read the Part of Your World series yet? Who is your favorite Abby Jimenez hero?

August was such a good reading month! 📚✨

Making progress on my physical tbr has been so satisfying — 6 out of the 7 books I read this month came straight from my bookshelves, and honestly? I’m still in shock at how many incredible stories were just sitting there waiting for me.

Here are a few quick thoughts on this month’s reads:
• Abby Jimenez was the absolute highlight ⇢ I genuinely cannot recommend her books enough. Her writing style is stunning, and her characters feel so real and deeply relatable. Yours Truly and Just for the Summer completely stole my heart (full reviews are coming soon!).
• Cleared my physical Mariana Zapata TBR! (Which obviously means I now have an excuse to buy more of her books 🤭) ⇢ While The Wall of Winnipeg and Me fell a bit short of my expectations, All Rhodes Lead Here had me loving every single page with all my heart.
• Finished the Rose Hill series ⇢ It was such a fun ride! Wild Card had so much potential to match Wild Love, but I have to admit the ending annoyed me a bit, so it didn’t quite make top tier for me.
• Stepped out of my comfort zone ⇢ I picked up I’m Glad My Mom Died as a memoir read in honor of my workplace book club. Being part of it has really pushed me to try different genres! I highly recommend listening to the audiobook version of this one, but definitely check the trigger warnings first because it gets quite heavy.
• Making progress on Addicted / Calloway Series ⇢ Kiss The Sky caught my interest a bit! Given the massive hype surrounding this series, I was expecting a bit more, but I’ll keep going in honor of my girl @umlivroduplicado 🤍 Even if my expectations have shifted, I’m excited to see where the story goes next.

💬 How was your reading month in August? Did we match on any of these?

One of my favorite things about the book community is how two people can have the exact same top favorites, but completely disagree on everything else. Our reading tastes are so unique, and this trend shows that perfectly! 📚✨

Here is my breakdown for “5 books you couldn’t pay me to...”:
• PUT DOWN: books that completely consumed me! The ones where I physically couldn’t stop reading, and whenever real life forced me to pause, all I wanted was to jump straight back into that world.
• PICK UP: books that are simply not for me. Whether they’re overly tragic, way too dark for my usual vibe, or just overhyped to the point where I lost all curiosity to read them.
• SHUT UP ABOUT: books I will never stop recommending. Stories that left a mark on me in a way I never expected — books that are permanently tattooed on my mind (and maybe on my skin too).
• RE-READ: books that were just okay, didn’t make me feel much, or had potential but included that one plot point or trope I just couldn’t look past.

💬 Now I’m super curious: do we match on any of these, or is one of my “won’t pick up”s your absolute favorite?

“I’m fine not being the first man she’s ever loved because I know I’m going to be the last.” 🌲✨

The physical TBR clearing continues! I waited over three years to read this gem, and while From Lukov with Love still holds my number 1 spot for Mariana Zapata, All Rhodes Lead Here stole a huge piece of my heart. 4.5 STARS!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨

MY THOUGHTS: Aurora is officially one of my favorite heroines. Her journey of getting back on her feet after a terrible relationship was so inspiring, and her connection to her late mother through hiking was beautiful. Plus, her inner monologue is hilarious—I lost count of how many times I laughed out loud!
Tobias Rhodes is the ultimate grump with a heart of gold, but it was the dynamic between Aurora, Tobias, and his teenage son Amos that truly made this story shine. Their found family dynamic and the way they pushed each other to pursue their artistic passions made the slow burn so worth it.
If you love cozy, slow-burn romances that feel like a warm hug, add this to your autumn/winter reading list immediately! ☕️🍂

💬 Are you a fan of slow burn romances? Have you read any Mariana Zapata books yet?

This year my main goal has been tackling my physical TBR, and I’m so happy to say I’ve already read over 20 books from my shelves! 📚✨

These are just a few of the series sitting on my TBR, but they’re definitely my top priority to finish this year:
• Part of Your World: I only started Abby’s series last month, but I’m loving it so much that I can’t wait to dive into the last book!
• Addicted: I’ve finally jumped on the Addicted/Calloway train! I’ll admit it hasn’t fully captured me yet, but I finished Kiss the Sky last weekend and it definitely sparked my motivation to keep going and see where this story leads.
• The Undone: Peyton Corinne’s books surprised me in the best way possible! I’m desperate to read the remaining two ASAP (okay, full disclosure: the physical copies aren’t technically on my shelf just yet, but they’re officially on their way 🙈😅).
• Wild: I adored the first two books in the Wild series, so I’m holding out for cozy weather to binge and finish the rest.
• When in Rome: And last but definitely not least... I remember so clearly how much I loved the first two books. It’s been a few years since I read them, but they brought me so much joy and pure comfort, so I’m counting down the minutes to jump back into this world!

💬 How is your physical TBR looking this year? Are you finishing series or starting new ones?

last, now, next 📚✨

(yes, two “now”s because whenever I can I’m juggling a physical read and an audiobook at the same time! 📖🎧)

• last: I’m so happy to have closed another Elsie Silver series! I have to say that the ending of this one got on my nerves a bit, but I still loved Wild Card and it was a great way to close the series. I can’t wait for the tv show to air!!
rating: ★★★★.5

• now (physical): honestly, Abby’s books keep breaking me and putting me back together, and I can’t believe it took me so long to get to this one, I’m really mad at myself about that… I’d also appreciate very much if the universe could find me a Jacob Maddox.
rating: ★★★★★★

• now (audio): in all honesty, I have not been loving the addicted series, but now that I’m starting the calloway part, it’s getting so much better. so far, Rose and Connor are my favorites, so it’s no surprise this one was my favorite until now.
rating: ★★★★

• next: I can’t wait to read this one! From Lukov with Love is one of my favorite books and I read All Rhodes Lead Here at the start of the month and had a great time with it… Mariana’s writing is just so good that I know I’ll have a ball with this one too!
rating: tbc

“Grace costs you nothing.” 🥹✨

I let this book sit on my physical tbr shelf for TWO WHOLE YEARS, and honestly? Past me made a huge mistake, but present me is utterly obsessed.

5 HUGE STARS! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

MY THOUGHTS: Can we get a round of applause for 30s heroines?! 👏 Reading about Alexis felt like a warm, validating hug. Watching her rebuild her confidence after spending years in a dead-end relationship hit so close to home, and seeing her realize her worth made my heart swell.

Enter Daniel: the ultimate green-flag hero. He respected her, empowered her, made every moment count, and taught her how to take back control of her life. Their meet-cute had me smiling, their banter had me giggling, and their chemistry was unmatched.

Plus, the small-town charm, the core theme of empathy, and Hunter and Chloe completely sealed the deal. It was a bumpy ride for them, but oh-so-worth it.

💬 Have you read Part of Your World yet, or is it sitting on your TBR? What’s a book you regret waiting so long to read?

monthly wrap-up 🌴✨
• july edition

July felt like such a nice reset month! It was packed with cozy romance reads, hot summer days, and simple moments that made everything feel lighter and grounded. 🌱

While reading-wise it was all about comforting stories, July was also about enjoying the little things outside of my book stack.

Here are some of my July highlights:
🌅 Caught as many golden hour sunsets as I could
🥗 Maintained my poke bowl obsession and added a new salad hyperfixation
🐶 Nala gave us a little scare this month, but she’s feeling much better and we soaked up all the cuddles!
🌊 Survived the heatwaves by spending as much time by the pool and beach as possible
💃🏻 The company summer party was so much fun!
🏠 Almost done decorating the new apartment, and honestly, nothing beats that “finally home” feeling
🎟️ Secured tickets for a book event next year (already counting down!)
✨ Kept up with my Sunday glow routines and just prioritizing myself a little more 🥹

QOTD: how was July for you? What was your favorite read or highlight of the month? 💬

Book Lovers by Emily Henry ✨

Starting August with one of my absolute favorite quotes from Book Lovers. There’s something so comforting about the idea of “do-overs” and fresh starts.

Fun (and slightly embarrassing 🙈) fact: this book had been sitting on my physical shelf since December 2022, and I only just read it this past month... almost 4 years later! 😅 But honestly? It was worth the wait, and it’s proof that my physical TBR is finally getting some love.

Gently stepping back into this space on my own terms: cozy, laid-back, and focusing on all those unread books that have been waiting for their turn. 📚

Happy August, everyone! I hope your month is filled with great reads. What was your favorite read in July? 💬 by @letsbooktalk
