Having a photographer in the family is everyone’s dream, right?! It’s so hard not to share all these beautiful photos! One thing is for sure: Aryaan is already a little photo star!

A big thank you to Adi’s brother, Anshu, for capturing these memories! Go check out his amazing work. He shoots all around the world! 😏 @whereisanshu @chocolateboxphoto

Before having a baby, you really have no idea how much stuff one tiny person can need. 😂 We always thought camping with a baby would just need a bit more planning… but we definitely underestimated the amount of stuff that comes with it. Bottles, a pump, chargers, all the baby gear… even the electricity setup suddenly matters a lot more. And then there’s Adi with all his camera gear on top of that 😅

So during our first little camping try-out, we tested the EcoFlow DELTA 3 Max Plus. It was super easy to use, and we like that we can just take it out of the camper and use it somewhere else when we don’t need it there.

If you want to know more, have a look at EcoFlow’s website. You can use code LMAEF8 for 5% off portable power stations until September 30. Link in bio.

This feels quite private to share, especially with photos where everything looks happy and easy. But you never really know what’s happening behind the scenes. 🩵

It was World Breastfeeding Week, and on the very last day, a little miracle happened for us. We finally managed a whole day of just breastfeeding, no bottles! 🥹

Breastfeeding didn’t have the easiest start for us. Aryaan was sick after birth and had to be fed through a tube, my milk supply was low and not long after my C-section I got an infection myself. So there were quite a few things working against us.

When the tube was gone, we started “triple feeding”: breastfeeding, bottle, pump, (and clean!)… and then doing it all over again a few hours later. A whole new world for us. For weeks I pumped every three hours, day and night, trying to get my milk supply up. It took up so much time and I slowly started accepting that maybe fulltime pumping would be our way. Luckily, Adi has been the greatest support, taking such good care of Aryaan while I was connected to the pump once again.

But last Friday, I gave breastfeeding another try and after a feed, Aryaan actually had a full tummy. 🥹 So we tried again at the next feed… and the next one… and somehow we made it through the whole day without a bottle!

I don’t want to celebrate too soon, but it finally feels like we figured it out together! There’s still a lot to learn, because breastfeeding at home is one thing… doing it while we’re out feels impossible at this moment.

So yeah, let’s share these stories about breastfeeding. I really wish I had known more before. I didn’t even know things like “triple feeding” or “fulltime pumping” existed, and I spent so many of those precious first weeks with Aryaan using every free minute to search for information.

Maybe sharing a little more can make it a little easier for the next mom. 💕

Our little boy, Aryaan, arrived on 28 June. 💙

We’re a little late sharing the news, but we’ve been soaking up these first precious weeks together.

The start of our journey didn’t go quite as we imagined. Aryaan had to stay in the hospital because of an infection, but seeing him recover so quickly and being able to hold him with fewer and fewer wires attached was the best feeling.

Coming home together felt like a dream. Unfortunately, our hospital chapter isn’t over just yet, as I’m still recovering from an infection after my C-section. But despite the unexpected start, we’ve been enjoying every cuddle, smile and little moment together.

The days are flying by and we’re enjoying every minute of this precious new chapter in our lives.

Our greatest adventure has just begun. ✨ by @letsmeetabroad

Baby is not here yet, so we still have time to post these. 😏 A few weeks ago, Adi crossed the finish line of his Half Ironman!

Of course, these days are extra special for the Ironmen, but also for the supporters. Following the race, tracking where they are and trying to catch them at the right spots is almost a sport in itself.

Honestly, doing all of that pregnant was a bit of a challenge, but luckily my parents were there to help me get around and keep me company throughout the day.

And I had a little achievement of my own: I recorded my highest step count and burned the most calories of my entire pregnancy. All on just a few hours of sleep. 😅

So happy I got to be there and see Adi cross the finish line. 😍

9 months ago, I signed up for my first Ironman 70.3. 🔥

It was one of the scariest things I had committed to in a long time. I couldn’t swim more than 10 meters in the pool and I knew there was a lot to learn.

The journey wasn’t smooth. There were injuries, setbacks, self-doubt and many moments of wondering if I could really do it. Two months before race day, I finally felt ready. Then I injured my knee from doing too much too quickly, and up until a week before the race, I wasn’t sure if I would even be able to finish.

On race day, the goal was simple: stay calm in the swim, make the cutoff, and keep moving.

And somehow, I did.

I’m proud to have finished my first Ironman 70.3, but even more grateful for everything I learned about the sport, the process and myself along the way.

First Ironman 70.3 ✅

Now, time to prepare for our future little Ironman… no pressure. 😉

I think after every hike in the Dolomites we say it’s the best one ever… and yep, here we go again 💚

This time we did an overnight hike from Alpe di Siusi to Rifugio Alpe di Tires. It was truly incredible.

You can watch our adventure on YouTube!

This was last summer, of course. This summer will look very different for us… it feels unreal to see myself in that hiking shape now, with a baby bump growing 🐣

Have you started planning your summer holiday yet? ☀️
If not, make sure Italy is on your list and especially the Dolomites.
Yes, it’s becoming more and more popular… but trust us, you can still find hidden gems if you know where to look.

We just uploaded a video on YouTube about our best day hike ever in the Dolomites (you’ll find the link in our bio).

And by the way… is standing with your face turned toward the sun a typical Dutch thing? 😏
