A fresh cut changes the entire trajectory of your week. Look, I didn’t even notice they flew my brand until the news alerts started hitting my phone! 😭😂 Last month when I was kicking it with them, they genuinely asked me what the craziest thing they could do to help support the business and get my name out there as friends. The evolution of a vision. 🏗️🧠👓 What started as a simple conversation at Home Depot turned into one of our favorite exterior transformations to date. We didn’t just paint a house; we gave it a whole new identity. We let this project breathe, and as the vision grew, so did the scope. The Full Transformation: Modern Black Trim: We started with the windows, screens, and trim, which set the tone for the entire project! 🖤 Total Resurface: We moved from the builder-grade factory siding color to a sleek, modern, dark gray finish, covering the shutters, gutters, soffits, and even the brick foundation. 🏠🎨 The Final Touches: New house numbers, a modern exterior light, and a brand-new door piston to end that “dreaded slamming storm door” for good. 🛠️🤫 The Story Behind the Red Door: 🧧✨ We didn’t just pick this color because it looks “fire”—red doors carry weight: Sanctuary & History: In honor of Black History Month, we recognize that during the Underground Railroad, a red door was often a secret sign of a “safe house.” It meant sanctuary and protection for those seeking freedom. 🛡️✊🏾 The Financial Goal: In Scottish tradition, a red door signaled that the homeowner had finally paid off their mortgage in full. We’re out here building that same generational wealth. 💰📈 The Nupe Standard: In my world? A red door screams: A Nupe lives here—or a Nupe did the work. 😂♦️👌🏾 Yo to the bros! Calculated Execution: 📐🪜 I have to be honest—getting on these ladders never gets easier. They say your network is your net worth, but sometimes it starts with a chance encounter at Home Depot. 🏗️🧠 To kick off this transformation series, I’m taking you back to October 2025. I ran into an old college friend while grabbing supplies, and after an hour of catching up in the aisles, we realized we had a major project on our hands. This young man has been a true blessing—referring me to family and friends and constantly dropping gems of business advice while I worked on his home. 🤝📈 The Project: Part 1 - The Evolution What started as a simple pressure washing job quickly evolved. We aren’t just here to clean; we’re here to transform. 🎨✨ Before that big late-year storm hit, we got to work: 🚿 Deep Pressure Wash: Stripping away the years to reveal a clean slate! 📐 Professional Prep: Meticulous priming and job site protection—because the finish is only as good as the foundation. 🏠 The Upgrade: Swapping out the front porch light and modernizing the house numbers to set the tone for the new aesthetic. We took the time to do it right, moving with meticulous accuracy to ensure every line was sharp. This project was the last big push right before I secured my 40 acres in Texas, and I’m forever appreciative of the clients who believe in the vision and support the grind. The wait is finally over—quality this good takes time. 🪵💎 I apologize for the delay on the drop, but we’re back to give you the full look at the finish line. If Part 1 was the “bones,” Part 2 is the soul. 🙏🏾✨ In this phase, we took the “Let’s Paint” standard to the next level with: 🪚 Custom Cabinetry & Shelving: Built from scratch to fit the space perfectly. 📝 🎨 Fine Woodworking: Every miter joint and trim piece was handled with surgical precision. 🎯 🧹 The Final Polish: Clean lines, flawless paint, and a workspace left better than we found it. 🧼 Full Circle Moment: 🔄 We executed this masterpiece between December 2024 and January 2025. It’s wild to look back at this footage because, as I type this in 2026, the team and I are on-site right now repeating this exact same level of magic on a brand-new fireplace project. The scale has grown, the team is stronger, and the vision is sharper—but the grit stays the same.
