Excited to announce that I’ve been nominated for two BTAA awards.

This nomination means more to me than any other award nomination because I’m being recognized by my community. It’s also fulfilling to get a award nomination on my first professional professionally produced scenic design. Congratulations to the amazing Cast and crew for both productions.

It’s funny because I was very hesitant about doing the same show twice in one year, but seeing that I got a nomination for both Production shows me that I approached each differently in a way that was recognizable and worth acknowledging

Thank you to both directors Cordaro Dont’e Santiago and Donn Carl Harper for trusting me to do my thang.

Thank you to Eta Creative Arts and Chicago Heights Drama Group for presenting these shows.

Congratulations to Levi J. Wilkins on receiving his 7th Jeff Award nomination! 🎉

Levi has been nominated for an Equity Jeff Award for Outstanding Lighting Design for Things With Friends at American Blues Theater.

We're just going to say it: Levi is the best lighting designer in the city. If you disagree... tell it to yo' mama. 😌

His artistry, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the craft continue to illuminate stages across Chicago. We are proud to have Levi as part of the Pulse Theatre Chicago family, and we're thrilled to celebrate this well-earned recognition.

Congratulations, Levi! Thank you for sharing your talent with our community. We're cheering you on every step of the way. 💙✨

Seven Jeff Award nominations.

Honored to be nominated again for Lighting Design for Things With Friends at American Blues Theater.

I don’t take moments like this for granted. Every nomination represents a room full of artists who trusted me, challenged me, and let me help tell their story. I’m grateful to every director, producer, stage manager, electrician, fellow designer, crew member, and performer I’ve had the chance to work alongside.

Congratulations to everyone who was recognized this year. It’s always an honor to be in this company.

SWIPE! Happy Closing to this amazing group of artists.

Andy Warhol Presents: The Cocaine Play was one of those shows that reminds me why I do this. We got to make something bold, weird, beautiful, uncomfortable, funny, and honest all at the same time. Every department was cooking, and I’m grateful I got to throw my brushstroke on the canvas with this one.

Big love to Terry Guest for the vision and the trust. And shout out to this entire company for showing up every day ready to make some dope theater.

Still one of my favorite shows I’ve had the chance to light.

So grateful to have been part of Immediate Family last summer. Getting to collaborate with this team under the direction of Phylicia Rashad was something I’ll always appreciate.

Even cooler, our sound designer Mikaal Sulaiman recently took home the award for Best Sound Design of a Play at the 78th Tony Awards. Well deserved. Congratulations!

My 6th Jeff Award nomination for making The House that Will not Stand look spooky and spiritual with my lighting design. Reese Boseman directed this masterpiece. And guess what, the costumes and set got nominated too, which basically means our design team was on fire. Since 2023, I’ve been on a roll, getting nominated at almost every Jeff Awards ceremony - I only missed one, but who’s counting. I just thank God im still working consistantly in this industry doing what i absolutely love to do. With people who I genuinely care about an pretty much every team.

This one was a ride. Giovanni’s Room at Quintessence pushed all of us
