Rachel is the author of the Game Changer series, with books like Heated Rivalry and The Long Game, which have hit peak popularity with the Crave original series coming out during the holidays last year. It was my first visit to @bookpassage and I loved the atmosphere! We celebrated @elise.kova’s release of Prince of Swords, and the Q&A with @abigailowenauthor was so much fun. It was also very cool to see the San Francisco Bay Area influence in both Abigail’s and Elise’s books. Books I’m excited to read for Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈

If you know me and since I know I don’t shut up about it—you’ll know I’ve been reading MM romance since last year. When I read God of Fury by Rina Kent, it was like a light went off in my brain💡It will always be one of my all-time favorites, but I know it’s a pretty common one so this past year I’ve been reading and researching more indie authors because all queer books should be celebrated!! And here are some that I’m excited for. (Some are more mainstream than others)

The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne, recommended by @austinsbookpagee

Don’t Let the Forest In by C.G. Drews. Currently reading this on my Kindle. Love me a dark academia!

Red Flags & Tuesdays by Nordika Night. I’ve read many of Nordika’s books, and she is a prolific writer. One of my go-to MM author recommendations.

The Weight of It All by N.R. Walker. I recently read Upside Down by Walker, and it was stunningly beautiful. It also helps me explore topics I wouldn’t generally pick up and that aren’t as mainstream in the genre.

Immersed by Gale Ian Tate. The cover absolutely sold me, alongside the reviews and unique premise.

Promise Me by Sara Cate. Currently listening to this on Audible, and it’s a duet narration with fantastic reviews. This will be my second book by Cate, the first being The Prodigal Son. by @lexidelavara

Pages & Pours by @novel_pairings at @ramsgatewinery 📚🍷

What a terrific evening! 🌟 We were greeted by Rams Gate’s friendly staff and got to taste a selection of wines inspired by book genres to help us decide which glass to choose, with one glass included in our ticket price. Then we picked some cozy Adirondack chairs and snuggled up with blankets provided by the team, as the estate is located in the Carneros region and can get fairly windy. We also participated in a book swap, which was really fun and a great way to rehome some of your gently used copies!

It was my first silent book night, and we had a dedicated hour for silent reading. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the serenity provided by the wildlife, as well as being amongst the vines in such a beautiful setting. Can’t wait for more events by @novel_pairings 🥂📚 Thank you! by @lexidelavara
