Marli Jade Montee was born 5/2/25 at 1:16am at home in the Secret Garden, outside, under the moon. 7 pounds and 19.29 inches tall. The birth was by far the most profound and the hardest thing I have ever done and I would not have been able to have the natural unmedicated birth of my dreams without my partner @monteecristo my sister and doula @moomoobootydoo my midwife Jasmine and her assistant Carolina @nightbloombirth and my parents. A quick little recap of how it all went down. I started labor around 9am Thursday morning. We had a nice breakfast and then went down to the beach to collect shells, meditate, and swim in the ocean. We then went back to the house had lunch and at 2:00 decided to head up to our friends house at the Secret Garden where my parents have been staying and a short drive to the hospital Incase of emergency. Once we arrived at the Secret Garden we unpacked our things, set up labor land and decided to process the contractions as we walked through the garden, swam in the pool and hot tub and grounded down into the space. As the sun was setting and my contractions were still 7 minutes apart I decided to lay in bed and try and nap to prepare for the long night ahead. I was mentally prepared to labor for as long as I needed but as soon as the sun set things really kicked into gear. The contractions quickly got more intense and closer together and with in like two hours my mucus plug had come out, my body was shaking uncontrollably, I felt super nauseous and my contractions were now anywhere from 5-3 minutes apart. Jasmine and Carolina arrived around 9:30 pm, set up the birthing tub and equipment and we got to work! I did my best to get on top of the contractions before they crashed over me, I repeated the mantra “open” and I visualized a rose opening one peddle at a time. As each wave passed I used my breath to push it away and release and take advantage of the couple of minutes of rest In between. I did my best to stay calm and to remind myself that my body was made to do this. Full surrender with no room to even think of another option. This pregnancy feels like a devine act to link me to the power of the universe. Solidly grounded in the cycle of nature holding the balance of the cosmos and the earth. It’s wild to think that I have become a portal for the next generation, a channel through which the cosmos flows into the world. For my birthday gift to myself I skied from the top of the Aiguille du Midi down the Valley Blanche at 31 weeks pregnant. One of the longest ski runs in the world, 9,000 vertical feet from top to bottom and on this day a gauntlet of hip high glaciated moguls! This descent felt so much bigger then any decent I have done before, not just because it was uncomfortable and my mobility was restricted as I cary this massive baby in my womb but because it was an important personal act as I step into my new realized and important role as a leader. Leadership that is felt and lived not taught. Leadership that allows me to stand unwavering in my truth. One that does not seek validation or control but brings peace to chaos, creates safety by being patient and gives permission for others to do the same. It is a gift to connect to nature in profound ways, to shift from a performance based identity into an experience based identity and most importantly to recall an ancient remembering to remain present and to listen deeply. @backcountry @k2skis by @lexidupont

Auric field reset!!! To celebrate our second wedding anniversary we decided to keep it local and go on a walk about in the back yard by traversing from Redfish Lake to Pettit Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains. Caring only what we needed on our backs along with our breath, our bodies and desire to disconnect from everything and reconnect with nature and each other. 30 miles, two nights, camped at two pristine alpine lakes and admired many others, climbed over three mountain passes, caught nine fish, made love under the stars, ate space food, drank from the rivers, meditated, melted amongst the wild flowers, reverence for rainbows, dodged thunder storms, skipped over waterfalls, listened and observed the abundance that surrounded us and basked in ever present centeredness with Mother Earth as our guide and by each others side. I love you @monteecristo and I am feeling my vitality recharged to show up 110% stronger in every way. by @lexidupont

They say it takes a village but this feels more like a massive accumulation of generational passion finally being recognized. Lifetimes of living against the grain, rooted in a deep history of self expression, pushing boundaries and finding our truth as together we constantly rediscover the edge of possibility. Most of these characters never could have imagined this day would come and for many of us it’s an all encompassing eruption of collective hard work resulting in the opportunity to share it with the world on the Olympic stage!!!! I could not be more proud of these people. They created a lifestyle that is now an Olympic sport!!!!!! While we stay true to our integrity it is now time to show the world what Free Riding is all about at the 2030 Olympics games! Get ready world!!!@k2.skis @freerideworldtour by @lexidupont

We ended our Euro trip by traveling from Türkiye with the fam to Prague for the architecture and the zoo, to Antwerp for @fatfreddysdropnz (if you know you know) to Magève for the most stunning mountain wedding I could ever dream of. 2 months, 10 countries, 3 happy and also exhausted Montee’s! by @lexidupont

Next stop on the EuroTour / Europe adjacent! Türkiye, for my mom @hdeist55 birthday celebration extravaganza!!! 13 family members on one boat for a week to celebrate the woman who brought us into existence. We love you YaYa and thank you for this experience. Türkiye wasn’t really on my radar to be honest but wow did it blow our minds! Crystal clear water, epic mountains shooting out of the sea, deep history and ancient ruins as a feast for our imaginations, insane food and a rich ocean culture all with the people I love. What more could you ask for! Thank you @mtnspiritslife and family for such a dreamy trip! by @lexidupont
