“The body achieves what the mind believes”

Another fantastic and painful prep under my belt. No short of amazing and yet the hardest thing I have ever done. Yet that’s the beauty in it, isn’t it?
This prep was easier in regards to familiarity, and my body responded really well. But this also challenged me in ways I couldn’t imagine and god I loved it.
Here are the main lessons I learned while challenging my mind:

1.) you don’t avoid your hard you chose it.
My hard is school, personally. I avoid assignments like the plaque although I want a career! Body building? Easier for me. But challenging my body and my mind allowed me to realize I am not facing my hard, I’m choosing it. And it’s time to actually let it chose me.

2.) Brain is stronger than your body and your body is stronger than your brain.
It’s not always mind over matter, the body may give up with all the willpower in the world. It’s about learning and controlling it.

3.) Patience and delayed gratification.
I realized how much I crave instant dopamine hits. This could mean caffeine, scrolling on Instagram, food, whatever it is. Delaying that gratification taught me the beauty in the uncomfortable and that dopamine is temporary.

4.) live in the current moment.
With being so structured you think of what next to “check off”. Time goes by nonetheless. Practice breathing and connect with your body. Moments pass and go.

5.) Ways to regulate stress.
Your body is under so much stress physically and mentally. Life does not stop. Classes don’t stop. Realize you are in a vulnerable state and it’s ok to take more time and it’s okay to take 10 min out of your day to practice breath work. It’s okay to not be okay.

6.) Action before clarity.
You don’t always need to know the answers before you make the choice. Sometimes clarity comes after the choice is made. It’s about the risk and the faith in your own future.

7.) boundaries.
Body building requires sacrifice and time is expensive. You have to set boundaries to get to where you want to be, and people will understand.
I’m beyond grateful and blessed. I will take some time in the off season to grow and ground myself.

holy shit. 2025 prep. I damn did the thing.

PLEASE READ :)))
wow. I’m not sure where to start. After several hardships, I realized no one is here to save me, and it’s in my control to push myself. I went into a body building prep wanting to expand my mental capacity, challenge my body to the greatest extent, grow my ability to handle stress, while also committing to a goal, and damn did I do that.

This was truly the hardest and most blessed I have ever felt. Each day was different. Each hour was different. Every second, every macro, every minute counted. I committed myself to the damn fullest. It was miserable and exciting all the same.

I didn’t miss one meal, one damn gram, one second of cardio, followed plan all the way through and through. I gave it my all, even when I think I didn’t. I proved to myself that I am truly in control of my head and my body. I made each choice with grace, I kept my eye on the goal and despite how I felt on the inside, I did it.
I’ve learned several lessons, as each second my mind changed from satisfied to disappointed to hurt to happy, I was a rollercoaster. However the goal was still accomplished and I proved to myself that I can truly be in control of my mind, no matter how I feel.

Here are some lessons I learned
- take day by day, second by second, chill tf out
- You are in control of your thoughts they are not in control of you
- Failure is past what you think your limit is , and some more
- Rest in some form is essential
- You don’t HAVE to work out, you GET to work out
- Just because it gets hard doesn’t mean the process is any less rewarding or a good process
- Find comfort in discomfort
Most importantly, it’s you vs you. I did this for me, to prove that I can truly do anything I put my mind to, and feel empowered and I did.

Thank you to my countless support, I would NEVER be able to be where I’m at without the bridge under me supporting me everyday. I am forever grateful for gods grace.
I can’t wait for next years prep, to push harder, look stronger, and be JACKED.
xoxo

With prep in less than a week…

I am coming to the end of my growth season. I wanted to share the real and raw behind the scenes of bodybuilding, not just the pretty on stage look. Go into what a prep looks like. The good and the ugly. Not just the beautiful pictures on stage, but the actual dedication that goes behind it. (While still being in college, working full time, and prioritizing my needs)

As a bodybuilder and also a trainer, I learned a lot of tips and tricks to keep myself and others disciplined; to keep the goal ahead of me. I’ve done the back handed way, gone through the hunger and the “too full feeling” I have tried almost all, yet I have a lot to learn.

I want to create this account to help share what I know and not sugar code it🫶🏼 to help others who want to grow their mental well being in and out of just lifting weights. The nutrition, the dysmorphia, the truth behind what we see, what muscles use and why, all from beginning to advanced. I have been through it all.

Understand you’re never alone, although it feels lonely, you have a whole community and I’m here to be with you. (And finally encourage you to not be afraid to lift heavy ass shit ;))
