Yesterday’s price isn’t today’s price. What was once out of reach became inevitable.

Starting my Masters journey at a different institution, navigating change, grieving and finding my way reminded me that the path isn’t always straight, but it always leads to where you’re meant to be. Returning to VSU and leaving as a double alum shows that growth requires patience, faith, and showing up even when the way isn’t clear. Graduated apart of the very 1st MBA cohort for VSU! This MBA represents resilience, elevation, and finishing what I started.

If you told younger me I would one day hold two degrees, I would’ve believed you wholeheartedly lol. I was always taught to dream big, even in the face of adversity.

I grieved the loss of my grandmother in the final lap of my program, but I know she’s smiling down on me, happy as ever for her grandbaby. Being resilient didn’t just teach me how to endure, it taught me how to be the reflection of the strength I discovered I had.

One week ago today, I earned my Master’s degree, through faith and the drive to see it through. One of the most meaningful parts of this journey is knowing how proud I’ve made my family. God is Amazing.
