First time representing 🇬🇧GB🇬🇧 in Beach Sprints at Le Coupe De La Jeunesse, In La Linea, Spain. It was an absolutely incredible experience to race against different countries from across Europe. The entirety of our team was made up of 16 year old athletes racing in an international under 19 competition which really raised the bar and we were all eager to take on this challenge.

In terms of racing, our team did so well. All of us made it to the top 16 and 3 of us made it to the Quarter finals. I competed in the Mixed Double and The Women’s Double, In the Mixed double Lucas and I made it to the top 16 after moving up 5 places from time trial 1 to time trial 2. In the Women’s double Elyssa and I came 7th in the Time trial and pushed through to the Quarter Finals where we came 7th overall. For my first ever international competition I am super happy with my results.

The 15 young athletes representing Great Britain at the Youth Olympics in Dakar have been announced at a special summit. The athletes got their official Team GB kits and got to meet Olympic triathlon champion Alistair Brownlee, who’ll be supporting them through the competition.

17-year-old Lexi Gill will make history alongside Louie Walker as Team GB’s first beach sprint athletes. The sport combines coastal rowing with sprinting along the beach and is being included in the Youth Olympics for the first time. It’s also set to make its Olympic debut at the 2028 LA Games. Lexi said:

Lexi: ”You look back and think about the year you’ve had and all the training and all of it worth it and all that hard work has just slotted into place and worked out.”

Had an awesome time racing in the U19 single at English Champs this year and came away with a silver 💪🥈

(Also got my fastest ever course time of 2:44.78 🏋️‍♀️)

(Slightly late post…) 1924 Pharoes Trophy in Portugal 🇵🇹

this was such a fun event where I competed in the U19 Mixed Double with @bragewallis and U19 women’s single and came top 8 in the TT in both events, unfortunately getting knocked out in the knockout rounds in both categories BUT it was an awesome experience and lots learnt! 🌊🚣‍♂️ (Also included lots of steak which is always a win)

Now onto English Champs tomorrow WOOO 🔥💪🏼

Senior Welsh Champions 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🥉

One of the four nations series complete ✅
Such a fun day of racing at Fishguard last weekend, it was also a really good experience to race above my age group.

First competition of the season and as an U19, it went super well and came home with a bronze medal🥉

Thank you so much 🙏 @welshrowing for hosting this awesome event we had an epic time racing in such a beautiful location at 📍Colwyn Bay
