Each year, LezRunSD puts on its annual Pride Run.

Here we witness a remarkable phenomenon.

Hundreds of gays, theys, and baes gather before sunset, displaying vibrant colors and engaging in an ancient ritual known simply as “ThursGAY.”

Despite appearances, not all participants run. Many choose to walk, socialize, admire dogs, or pause to VOGUE it out.

Scientists remain divided on whether the raffle prizes, the pizza, or the overwhelming sense of community is the primary attraction.

Whatever the cause, the outcome is undeniable queer joy, and all thriving in their natural habitat.

A truly extraordinary spectacle. One that should not be missed. #wlw #queerrunclub #queerjoy #runclub by @lezrunsd

Four years ago, LezRunSD started with a handful of people who wanted to move their bodies, meet other queer people outside of bars, and build the kind of community we couldn’t find. (Although we do meet at a bar but regardless…)

This years pride run over a hundred people showed up.

Pride isn’t just a month or a parade. It’s choosing community over isolation, showing up for one another, and creating spaces where people know they belong.

Thank you all for making this community what it is. It wouldn’t be anything without you.

Here’s to queer joy, stronger communities, and to every single person who has shown up and continues to show up.

Well over 100 queer folks came together to celebrate Pride Month! For the first time, Front Runners and Walkers San Diego hosted Lez Run San Diego at our Saturday Meetup. We had our Pride 5k Platinum Sponsors Milestone and On present as well. The morning was full of laughs, love, running, walking and bagels. This is truly the gay agenda! taken in Balboa Park War Memorial Building. by @lezrunsd

And here, we witness a remarkable phenomenon. Once each year, a gaggle of gay men embarks on a journey across San Diego, drawn by forces not yet fully understood by science. Their destination: the lesbian run club. There, among the gays, theys, and baes, they find community, friendship, and occasionally a post run beverage. Nature is beautiful. 🌈✨

This week, we teamed up with Front Runners & Walkers of San Diego for a community run full of laughs, miles, and a whole lot of queer joy.

Different groups. One community. ❤️ #lezrunsd #frontrunnerssandiego #lgbtq #queerrunclub #queer by @lezrunsd
