Short Answer: ~5 lbs per person

🧊But here’s the *real* breakdown 🧊

It depends on a few key things:
☀️ Temperature & Weather — Hot summer days vs. mild evenings, it makes a huge difference when it comes to usage. Anything above ~85 degrees, order extra!
•
🏡 Indoor vs. Outdoor — Outdoor events go through ice way faster, especially during the summer!
•
🍾 What you’re chilling — Just drinks? Or are you filling coolers, wine buckets, seafood towers? Whatever it is, we got you — just account for it!
•
🥤 Drink setup — Water glasses at every table? Self-serve bar? That adds up quick!
•
🥃Your crowd — Big drinkers vs. casual sippers (be honest, you know your people!)
•
⏰ Event length — A 2-hour cocktail party vs. an all-day cookout is a big difference in usage!
•
Pro tip: When in doubt, round up. Running out of ice halfway through your event is a buzzkill — nobody wants to be the one to have to go get more ice!
•
Still not sure?

Happy Father’s Day and US Open Championship Day to the man keeping Shinnecock Hills iced down this week - Chris Conklin!!
.
From his tireless months planning, logistics, coordination and freezer preparation, to working overnight every single night on the course restocking tens of thousands of pounds of ice, not getting home until 4 or 5am - no other iceman can compare and I’m so proud he’s MY DAD!! 🩵🧊 taken in Shinnecock Hills Golf Club by @li_icefuel

The not-so-secret ingredient behind every Drift cold plunge this summer: a whole lot of ice.

Huge thank you to @li_icefuel for keeping our plunges cold all summer long. From early morning run clubs to packed wellness events across the Hamptons, they kept us stocked and ready to plunge whether it’s meeting us at the event or having ice delivered right to our door ❄️

Couldn’t have survived our first summer without you 🤍🧊
