We woke up and hiked 13 miles to the Canadian border and put a cap on our 2,000+ mile hike across America. For the rest of my life, I’ll struggle to find the words for what this experience has meant to me. It was truly the adventure of a lifetime

This was the scariest thing I’ve ever done. To pack up a bag, put my life on hold for 5 months, and walk north with a bunch of strangers not only sounded crazy to my parents and grandparents, but also to me. I don’t know if I knew exactly what I was doing, but something told me to throw myself at this, and so I did

When I dreamt about this trail before coming out here, it was beautiful forests, snow capped mountains, and endless views. But now, when I look back on it, all I can see are the people I’ve met out here. Never could I have imagined the amazing people I’d meet. To come out here as a kid fresh out of college and be surrounded by so many badasses from all over the world, of all different ages, was so intimidating. To spend every day walking and learning and growing from them has been such a privilege. I love you all so much

Thank you to the kind and generous people of California, Oregon, and Washington who invited us into their homes, cooked us dinner, drove us to the grocery store, and, most of all, brought us beer in the middle of the desert. It can’t be done without you guys

A special thanks to my parents. The stress I put my mom through with this may have taken a couple years off her life, so I promise to stay in cell service for the foreseeable future

This trail felt so impossible, so to make it happen is something I’ll never forget

Oregon

Best section yet. Don’t really know how to put it into words, not even going to try to. With the northern part of Washington on fire, we don’t know if we’ll be able to cap off this journey the way we wanted to. Various trail closures start about 250 miles into the state. We’ll be looking at alternates and will be getting to Canada by any means necessary.

Taking it a little easier for the next month and really soaking in and reflecting on this incredible adventure. Time for Washington🤧
