Lighten Up premiered last weekend at the Paradise theatre, now it's off to the festivals!

The experience of making this film was such a joy to be a part of. The team that was assembled for this project made every day on set feel full of fun and endless creativity.

When @brielle_robillard approached me about making this film, having met her four years ago on a movie in Louisiana, I wasn’t expecting this project to come about. I knew Brielle as an actor, but it didn’t take long for me to get used to her brilliance as a writer and director, as well as her ability to balance directing the film while also taking on a role within it.

Our work together only highlighted the synergy we have as a creative duo. From extensive pre-production, to the playful and productive energy we shared on set, all the way through to the edit, where our instincts seemed to align at every cut.

And to @josiedietl , our producer, thank you for keeping everything moving forward. To @praven_firstac for being you and keeping us sharp couldn't have done it without you brother. And to @_jlea , my operator. This was my first time working with an operator throughout an entire film, it was a fantastic experience learning to express my vision of camera movement to someone else that I trust and be able to take a step back and assess the whole image at one time rather than juggling so much with the camera in my hand. And watching those ideas come to life was incredibly rewarding. You did an amazing job executing the plan, even if you had to sneak in a few power naps along the way.

I also want to give a special shout-out to @dave_muscat at @company_3 for his work on this film. What an incredibly generous, stand-up guy, thank you for graciously putting your magic touch on this film.

To everyone involved, thank you. This film was an absolute pleasure to make, and I’m so grateful to have shared the experience with all of you.

I can’t wait for the next one.

Today. Is the day.

Or Forever Hold Your Peace is officially out on YouTube

It was such an incredible honor to work on this film with such a fun and talented team of collaborators.

Like we have all been saying this set felt like summer camp for us, just incredible weather, immaculate vibes, hard work and lots of laughs.

Working with @tope_babalola has been one of the greatest pleasures of my career. This man is a creative genius and an absolute workhorse. This is our second project working together and things literally couldn't have gone smoother. (Mostly because we spent several months in prep, and shot for only 4 days!) we went into this project with a very thorough plan and we executed. I know we're both very happy with the end result.

So many members of this team started off as crew or cast and left being real friends. (Like we hang out at least every month kind of friends)

So please go and watch this film on YouTube! Support the amazing people behind it and let me know what you think!
